The Hotel is actually one floor of a traditional Barcelona apartment block, situated on the Rambla Catalunya. Clean and well run, the facilities are minimal, but what there are are very well provided. This includes a very efficient air-conditioning unit, and very effective black out curtains. The Rambla Catalunya is a wide, tree shaded avenue mainly given over to pedestrians... More

Where can I start... Pros: - Staff was nice. - Fast internet. - Location. However this does not trump everything so... Cons: - Saying that rooms are tiny is an understatement (and I have stayed in 50 euros small rooms in my life and most were bigger than this). The room photo on the site puts the bath towels on... In the heart of Barcelona right on famous La Rambla, this boutique hotel is tastefully furnished and hosts very few guests. Booking is suggested ahead of time sins it's occupancy is always 100%. Exeptional service by lovely receptionist ladies and housekeeping. Rooms vary from the ones with a spacious balconies to a slightly smaller once without. Breaksast is quite satisfying,... More

Booked this after research on trip adviser. Its location is in a smart part of the city within walking distance to trendy shops and smart out door bistro's. OLGA the first staff member we met went out of her way to advise about the premises even down to operation of air con. A favorite subject of mine! The rooms were... More

Went with a friend to the Spanish Grand Prix and stayed at The Moods. It is situated in an upmarket area right surrounded by posh shops and nice bars and restaurants. It is a small hotel on the third floor of a building and served by a lift. All the receptionists were very friendly and helpful with particular thanks to... More

Stayed here in March 2015 with friends. The location was perfect for visiting a number of attractions. Rooms lacked storage but otherwise very clean and great showers. Staff very friendly. Could have had more selection at breakfast maybe using bread and pastries from nearby bakeries rather than supermarket style products. Overall very good and would ccertainly

We visited with friends in March 2015. Taxi driver did not know exactly where it was initially but we soon got there OK - make sure you have the address handy to show the driver! Hotel is up a couple of flights of stairs. Small hotel, very friendly staff. The night before we were leaving the receptionist reminded us about... More

spent a weekend in February. Location is great, especially when you are on crutches like me. Entrance is a bit weird because the ho(s)tel is located on the second floor only. Our room (103) was very small and unfortunately had two separate beds. We did not explicitly ask for a double bed when booking so it's advisable to do so.... More

We just stayed in the Moods for four days. The hostel is located great near passeig de Gracia where you can hop on and off the two most used busservices. The hostel is small but luxureous and very clean. The service has a high standard ; we received a bottle of champagne on the day of our wedding aniversary. The... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
