Great central location, very clean with friendly, knowledgable staff and owners. I've stayed here pretty much everytime I've visited Barca. Only downside for me is the lack of A/C but that won't put me off staying time and time again. If you want 5* luxury this isn't the place, but if you're looking for a clean, well presented room in... The location is very good, very central, in the center of Barcelona but we struggled to find the street. For us the room was small (looks bigger in the pictures ...) and the night, the neighbors were noisy and woke up tired, unable to sleep.

Visited many times and still it is the best place for us. Situation is perfect in a fairly quit street in the middle of town. It is great to stay there because you feel like a real Spanish inhabitant when you walk up the stairs to the hotel. People are very nice and correct and the rooms are basic but... More

A few friends and I stayed here for 4 nights during the summer. Fantastic location with everything you need at your doorstep - cafes, pharmacy, supermarket (for those bottles of water), the beach, bars and restaurants. Staff are super cool, informative and helpful. The place is perfectly clean and fresh. Each time I had to use the shared bathroom, I... More

This was my third time in Barcelona and my first time in Sol y K. I absolutely loved that place: the location is perfect, right in the city center, so everything is at walking distance. The room was spacious and was decorated with great taste and, although we had a room with shared bathrooms, we never had to wait to... More

We stayed at Solyk for four nights in September and really enjoyed it. The location is amazing, the facilities are modern and clean, and the staff was very friendly. The only thing that was a bit different was the reservation process. I did not see any way to book online; had to call or email. I emailed for reservations and... More

I would highly recommend Solyk to anyone staying in Barcelona. The staff was amazing each time we asked for help - we received fantastic meal recommendations and helpful tips when trying to see the sights. The location was in the center of everything.

This was my second time staying at Solyk. My first experience was faultless as I was dealing with one of the girls there who was super nice and helpful, however, when trying to book this time I was looking to rent a couple of rooms but didn't get a reply on the second room from Phillipe so my friends had... Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
