This is my third visit to Villa Emilia within twelve months. I like the place a lot. I was anticipating writing another positive review to mirror my others. BUT. Whilst I love the Hotel we have a saying/cliché in England ……..‘cutting your nose to spite your face’. It means that you will do something crazy/stupid even though you know that... More

This hotel was amazing. A friend and I stayed for three nights in Nov 2014 and we got a nice, super clean room with a lovely bed. The service and front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast wasn't included but I did eat breakfast for one of the days and it was a nice, quaint selection. Location was great... More

We booked our trip and this hotel at the spur of the moment, not taking the time to read the reviews at Tripadvisor first, so when I later had a look and read about the hard beds, pillows and some problems with noice I was concerned. I needed not to be. As a swift reply on my e-mail the staff... More

Villa Emilia is nicely located in a residential area, still conveniently close to the city and all public transportation. The atmosphere in the lobby/restaurant/reception area is very nice, good design with character. Breakfast was tasty. Nice roof terrace. The room was convenient, only the temperature was a bit too hot and not adjustable (and the air conditioning was off at... More

Stayed at Villa Emilia for three nights recently. Reception and check-in very quick, smooth and welcoming. Our room on 4th floor was large, very quiet and with all the usual amenities - free wifi and bathroom toiletries. The full length door opened so we could see right out to the neighbourhood and watch local life go by. Breakfast was a... More

A very stylish boutique hotel. I was first recommended by my sister and stayed there last year for the first time. Loved it and went back again this year. The hotel has a very warm welcoming atmosphere and staff is so friendly and helpful. Breakfast is yummy and the roof top terasse has a bar, great view and always busy... More

overnighted before an early morning flight. Very swish hotel and good value for the price (119 for double w/ BF). Nice toiletries and the bar looked good, even though we didn't visit. Terrace would be nice on a warm night. Beds good. Excellent BF with high quality ingredients including excellent OJ. Location 15 mins walk from Ramblas. Would stay again.

A bit out of the way so it's quiet at night but just one block from metro station so is convenient to get to places. Attractive, functional space. Modern decor. Great, helpful staff. Best hotel breakfast (we paid 10 euro per person/day which is a deal) we had in our Spain vacation. Will be happy to stay there again next... More

We stayed 4 nights Sept/Oct 2014. The hotel is extremely clean with modern furnishings throughout. Our double room was on the top floor so had a nice view from our balcony (not a vista but nice none the less). We watched a small street procession go by one evening with fireworks, it was great. The bed was very comfortable and... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
