Me and my partner stayed at this hotel for two nights. This is a returning visit as last year we did enjoyed this hotel so much. Upon check in, the paperwork is ready for us and we received a warm welcome by the front desk staff. Our room is at 6th floor, special request of quiet room was well noted... More

It is a quite new hotel in a semi-central location in Barcelona close to Barcelona Sants train station (hi speed trains) and to Avenida de las Cortes Catalans. In 20 minutes walk you are on the Ramblas. They have a bar-restaurant so that the service is not suited for the hotel but it is anyway good. Breakfast is good. Clean... More

an absolutely great find in a still magical (despite excessive tourism) city this hotel was a very pleasant surprise. really professional friendly yet discreet staff, a very relaxing atmosphere - providing calm and a bit of class in a handy situation in the eixample quarter of town. rooms spacious and well designed the beds are a little rock hard though... My wife and I stayed in November past and it was one of the best hotels we have stayed in. Lovely room with free wifi. The breakfasts are buffet style unhurryed and very pleasant waiting staff. We also had the Sunday brunch which was fabulous! Do this if you can, it is the best way to fill a Sunday afternoon.... More

After having lived in Barcelona for about a year I am frequently returning on business. This was my first visit to try Villa Emilia after having spotted it on one of my last visits. I was not disappointed. Quick and smooth check-in. Nice Room, and very clean. I specifically asked for a quiet room so they put me on the... More

I can't say enough good things about Villa Emilia! Lovely rooms, stunning public areas incl rooftop, great breakfast & fabulous tapas! The staff were so lovely: the manager walked over to the bank with us to help with the ATM options. I send all my family to this beautiful hotel!

Just stayed there for a week and returned three days back. Very nice hotel and excellent service!! Location was extremely convenient: both the red train (L2?) and the bus stops were in the same block; it was about a 15-20 walk to the City Center and a 15 minute walk to Plaza Espanyol. Area was in a residentail area and... More

This is a great hotel, nicely located and with a good atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Staff is friendly too. The metro is only a block away, but all major sites are at walking distance, if you wish. The happy hour at the bar is a nice relaxing time for the evening.

We stayed here for 4 nights. We picked this place since we had friends that recommended it and because of it's location. After staying in the "thick of things" last time, we wanted a more relaxing, non-touristy experience and this place fit the bill perfectly. This small, boutique hotel is only a block from the metro, so it's only 10-15... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
