My partner and I stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. First of all, thanks for all the comments previously posted here, they were extremely helpful. Overall the hotel is stylish, clean, spacious, quiet and new. Everything was good - couple of things worth mentioning: We had no problem with the water pressure in the shower, it worked very well,... more

A beautifully elegant yet 'cool' hotel with perpetually happy and helpful staff. My partner speaks a little Spanish, but all the staff spoke English fluently so he didn't get the chance to try. The bed was comfortable with plenty of room around it, the bathroom was huge and everything was spotlessly clean and appeared to have been newly decorated just... more

Stayed at Villa Emilia for an extended weekend and had a very good experience during my stay. The hotel is very well taken care of and the staff is helpful. Design and products offered in the room are of excellent quality and carefully chosen. On the top of all (literally) there is the terrace with bar services and comfy lounge... more

As per all the other reviews, Villa Emilia is a rare hotel in that it gets just about everything right. The service and rooms I wouldn't fault - one of those hotels you look forward to returning to at the end of each day. The location may turn some off, but the Metro in Barcelona is so easy to use... more

Stayed for three nights, in this hotel, the room was lovely and clean, bathroom was spacious and had a great shower. The rooftop terrace was a welcoming place on returning from a long day of sight seeing (open until 1am). Air conditioning was very quiet (couldnt hear it at all) The hotel was situated in a great spot just a... more

Eternally smiling staff and a hip, comfortable feel that I just can't explain! I would definitely stay here again. Pros: Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, trendy but not over-done design, cozy roof-top terrace, very clean, great A/C, 1 block from metro, outside the tourist zones but still close to so much, GREAT value for money. Cons: Outside the tourist zones... more

We spent four nights here and really enjoyed it - great A/C, free internet, so close to a Metro stop. There is not a ton of stuff open right around the hotel at night, so we generally took the Metro. We went to a jazz club on a Sunday night and were surprised to find the Metro had stopped running.... more

Villa Emilia was an excellent hotel, would stay again without question!! As soon as I walked in the employees greeted me with a friendly smile and hello. The hotel is modern and boutique like. Our room was comfortable and relaxing. The rooftop lounge had a fantastic view and was relaxing while eating a pastry and enjoying the quiet after an... more

We booked into Villa Emilia after reading the trip adviser reviews - and we were not disappointed! It is everything that the other reviews have said. Great location - at a metro stop and a walkable distance to both Placa de Catalunya and the majic fountains... Trendy boutique style. Had complimentary coffee on arrival and found the staff most helpful.... more

The Villa Emilia may just be the best bargain in Barcelona. The rooms are very tastefully appointed with a color scheme that is both relaxing and unique. It is a modern hotel, so it uses key cards to open the doors and turn on the lights. The bathroom fixtures are very nice, with on-demand hot water. The room I was... more
