This hotel was in a perfect location (2 minute walk from Las Ramblas) the room was very spacious and modern, the bathroom didn't have a bath but there was a very large shower room and I prefer showers anyway. Our window overlooked the pool and faced the back of the hotel so there was no busy city noise. The aircon... More

We stayed here in April 2014. We had originally booked with a different hotel but were moved here on arrival due to a flooding problem. Service was excellent and the staff could not apologise enough. The hotel itself is very modern with a pool, spa etc and is in a perfect location for getting around the city. Our room was... More

Nice and big rooms which was very important, cause i was with my 8 month old son, so i had enough space for his bad and for him to crawl around)))... Convenient location. Easy to get to any place you want. Beatiful outdoor... More

Loved this hotel. Spent quite a bit of time in the room because it was so nice and welcoming. Close to the main street Las Ramblas so was central to where we wanted to be. Lots of different food choices for breakfast but personally I would have liked some baked beans at breakfast. Couldn't complain though as there was a... More

very well located hotel. Had triple rooms which was fabulous for us. The hot tub and spa were a welcome relief after 2 days sightseeing. Would definitely stay here again when I'm next in Barcelona. Bar was open late. Las ramblas was a two minute walk away. Taxi rank across the street and great restaurants all around.

I simply enjoyed the 2 nights I spent there. From the very first moment Marc was really friendly and the room he chose for me was big, clean and silent. In addition, the restaurant they have is really amazing and the people in the reception (as I said, Marc over all) was extremely friendly. The only "bad point" (and for... More

The Catalonia Ramblas is located in the town center of Barcelona. The rooms are of varying sizes and the hotel which is on old building is easy to get lost in. The rooms are clean. But a hotel that sells itself as a 5 star hotel should provide at least BBC world news from its TV menu. The front desk... More

Excellent value hotel in central Barcelona. Very clean, good sized rooms and professional staff, most of whom spoke excellent English. I was staying for a couple of days with a friend having been waking in the Catalonia countryside and the spa facilities were a welcome feature and very good. The location is also ideal for getting the airport bus from... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
