Really enjoyed my time at Catalonia Ramblas. We arrived and requested a specific type of room, and since it wasn't available we waited at the bar for a few minutes with free drinks on the house. Got an awesome room as a result. Amazing location, close to everything! Really great service. Lovely breakfast as well. Oh, forgot the best part... More

We were a party of 9 adults (friends and family). This was our first time at this hotel and first time in Barcelona. Hotel was "Perfect" in every sense of the word - clean rooms and overall clean hotel. Location was the best, as it was within a short walking distance from Las Ramblas (but without the noise) and very... More

First time staying at this hotel but will definitely come back. The location is excellent, but the service from the staff was outstanding. Every night, they even provide complimentary chocolate. Very happy with this experience and definitely recommend.

Very good location just off top of Ramblas, extremely comfortable room, bed extra comfy beautifully clean. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Rooftop pool a bonus and very relaxing. Would defiantly stay again or recommend.

This hotel has an excellent location and the staff were really lovely and so helpfull. We asked for a quiet room and it certainly was. Rooms were brilliant and the shower in the bathroom was a room in itsef. Breakfast choices were great. I will be staying here again when i visit Barcelona again in the future for sure.

Just returned from a short break in Barcelona, with my wife and 21yr old daughter where we stayed ay the Catalonia Ramblas Hotel. Great location, very short walk to Metro station, Bus stops and Las Ramblas itself. We were in ground floor room no 18, must say, room very spacious and clean with a separate bath and shower area. Bed was... More

A very bad smell in our two rooms. The sink of the toilet did not work well !! Nobody was there to take our bags from the taxi to inside of the hotel. We also took our bags upstairs to our room.!!! Very bad greeting with unkind workers and reception. There was not any slippers in our room and when I... More

Hotel location very good, just round corner from Las Ramblas and Plaza Catalonia where Airport bus arrives and departs every 5 mins. Also tour buses leave from here too. Stayed in a triple room which was a twin room with sofa bed but this was very comfortable. Didn't spend much time at hotel or its facilities as there was so... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
