I booked here to stay in June for a couple of nights with my bf. We arranged this through booking.com and paid 163 euros. We were then informed that they could not have us stay and organised alternative accommodation that was further out and cheaper but we were expected to pay the same price. Months after informing them we were... More

Extremely friendly staff, always eager to help. Very, very close to the metro station (about 20 meters only!) Central location, very close to shops, supermarkets and cafeterias-restaurants. Did have a shared kitchen and a roomy private bathroom. On the down side, the WiFi signal was very poor, and did not cover the whole room. The kichen could be more equipped.

Hostal Els Angels has a good average quality/Price, it is clean, very close to public transport (either to or from the airport or to the city center). Beds are comfortable. We had a good night sleep there.

Hostal Els Angels served the basic purpose of providing a place to sleep, bathe, and leave your suitcase. So if that's all you want and are looking to save money, it's fine. Great location with metro right outside, and within walking distance to the downtown, although the building itself is a bit sketchy and doesn't seem that secure. The front... More

What we loved most about it was the location. We could get to anywhere woth the meteo as Urgell station was just next door. We also walked to University and Calatala within 10-15 min only. The stuffs were nice and friendly. The room itself was okay if you are not sensitive to noise.

Location is good, the room looked nice but later once we closed the window it turned out to be humid and smell bad as if it had trouble with mould or rather fungus. Slept with open balcony, not too safe. Things vanish there from public spaces, even the smallest ones like a shampoo noone cares. I mean you can't blame... More

We appreciate your feedback, and would appreciate not to launch discriminatory and baseless accusations. Such as things disappear. There are more valid ways of saying that you did not like your stay. Yet again we give thanks for making us part of your experience. Best regards. More

Visited Barcelona 3 nights. Our stay was comfortable at Els Angels. The location was perfect a few blocks away from La Ramblas and a few steps from the Metro and bus stop. We had the bedroom with private bathroom. The bedroom size is comfortable, one window that looked to the balcony of the adjacent building and the bathroom had another... More

We stayed at the Hostal Els Angels for an entire week and especially enjoyed the good location and the excellent price for the quality of the hostel. It is situated 20m to a metro station and at a walking distance of only 10-15min to the main street, the Ramblas. The room was very clean and invitingly bright. It wasn't enormous,... More

We stayed here while visiting Barcelona for 3 nights. The Hostel is very comfortable, we were sharing bathrooms which was fine (we had a basin in our bedroom too!) There is a great kitchen, and Elizabet at reception was extremely helpful, both before our arrival and once we were there. We checked in after hours and could easily get in... More

We stayed in room 8, which had a small window to an interior patio, and private bathroom. The room was very clean, small but enough for the traveller that needs just a place to sleep and shower. It had a few great advantages, such as a shared complete kitchen and living room, being a small hostal and having a good... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
