Good place. Very nice breakfast. Choose an ensuite room if possible, it's very convenient. Warm and receptive hosts. Rooms are decorated in a subtle way, has a good feel to it. Recommended stay in Barcelona.

This is a true guest house, not a cheap hotel. It occupies two floors of a traditional apartment building right in the middle of all attractions. The owners pay such attention to the details, fresh flowers in the rooms, candles and linen table clothes for breakfast, which is fresh and varied. Not for those wanting an American style hotel or... I booked the Vrabac Guesthouse for my wife and I's honeymoon stay in Barcelona back in September 2013. I never got the chance to write a review, but I always wanted to because of the great experience we had at our time in Barcelona. I backbacked in Barcelona prior to getting married so I knew how to get around Barcelona.... More

This place is fine if you like a tiny, concrete room with a tiny window that opens into the middle of the building so you have a view of (and sound of) the water pipes. Very, very basic. The host, Nicolas, was nice. The breakfast was ok. I read TA reviews before booking this place and thought it would be... More

So much in the middle of town that we sometimes had to wait for an event to complete before going home. A true local apartment building, run by folk with principles - oh how cute - and with excellent taste. A few nights here and you adjust too the Catalan way; late to rise, a gentle start to the day,... More

We stayed five nights in Vrabac. The location is perfect, both in the sense that it is in the middle of the adorably picturesque Gothic quarters, and also because it is only a 10 minute walk from Placa Catalunya where the Aerobus (from the airport) stops. The deluxe double room/suite we stayed in was gorgeous; well furnished, lots of space,... More

What a lovely guest house. It was very easy to find with clear directions emailed to us prior to arrival. The hosts were warm, welcoming and very helpful. The facilities provided in the room were excellent and the whole design was well planned. The place was clean and beautifully decorated to a high specification set in an old building. The... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
