Firstly i will list the good points about this Guesthouse. Management responded punctially to my queries, the weeks leading to my stay, and they were welcoming and friendly in their response. They organised a bottle of champagne and grapes on my bequest. My partner sprained his ankle before arriving at the house and management were helpful and showed concern and... More

The Location of this hotel is perfect in the historic gothic quarter, just a few places from Las Ramblas, and a short walk one way from the Placa du Catalunya and a short walk the other to the sea front. The owners were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was varied healthy and fresh, not to mention delicious with tables... More

The Vrabac Guesthouse was perfectly located just steps off Las Ramblas, and a short walk from the metro. The hostel was both beautiful and eco-consciously decorated and maintained. The breakfast each morning was delicious and offered an assortment of pastries, local cheese, ham and granola. The staff was very welcoming and helpful with directions and recommendations. I will definitely recommend... More

This must be one of the best kept secrets right in the heart of Barcelona. It is a very short walk from Plaza Catalunya in the streets of Gotic. Very personal, relaxed and friendly environment.. When checking in there was a great attention to detail to ensure we've got all we need to enjoy and make most of our stay.... More

The great reviews are true! This place is truly a gem. I booked the single room, with a bath ensuite, and it was perfect for me! Location was one of the most important factors for me since I was only to be in Barcelona for a couple of days. I also wanted a smaller, more personal property with charm and... More

All the reviews sum this place up quite well. However, enough cannot be said about its location. It truly is in the centre of everything, you really can't help but feel like a local staying there. Also, what's a big help, is that the A1 bus from the airport stops at Placa de Catalunya which is not even a ten... More

This is a true guest house, not a cheap hotel. It occupies two floors of a traditional apartment building right in the middle of all attractions. The owners pay such attention to the details, fresh flowers in the rooms, candles and linen table clothes for breakfast, which is fresh and varied. Not for those wanting an American style hotel or... I booked the Vrabac Guesthouse for my wife and I's honeymoon stay in Barcelona back in September 2013. I never got the chance to write a review, but I always wanted to because of the great experience we had at our time in Barcelona. I backbacked in Barcelona prior to getting married so I knew how to get around Barcelona.... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
