Enter of the small street Boqueria 25 metres down from La Ramblas. Almost opposite the famous Boqueria markets. Enter into the reception area which leads you to the beautiful gardens and relaxed bar outside. Quiet and private from the hubbub of the area outside. The room overlooking the garden was rather small but otherwise OK. Bed was comfortable and bathroom... More

Nice hotel. Room clean and large enough. Shower in the bathroom was a power shower very good. Staff very friendly. complimentary chocolates and water in the room with a welcome letter. Hotel in a good place for exploring Barcelona. Breakfast very good plenty of choice. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the staff really look after you.

The hotel itself is charming and in a great part of the city. It's well kept, has character and the staff are friendly. Afternoon drinks in the hotel bar courtyard were lovely. The rooms however are terrible, we know because we had to change rooms when the 'super hyrdro shower' simply didn't work and it was aparently acceptable for management... More

Nice hotel, great location. However the beds leave you with a back ache. High tech showers that don't work, wobbly floor, not enough pillows. 3* at a push maybe. Won't be visiting again. The best point were the staff, very friendly.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 days. The location was great and we were able to extensively explore the city. The hotel in itself is something else however. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel (I would say more 2-3). The entrance and garden are clean and well presented but the bedrooms are shabby and would definitely need... More

The hotel is modernly deigned and hi-tech, the light in the corridor with motion sensor will light up automatically when you pass by, a bit scary for the first time but it is good to save energy. The room is big (in the view of a Hong Kong people who just leave hotel in London ) and view is very... More

Reception area looks great - very misleading. Corridors are so dark you can barely see, probably to disguise the fact it needs a major revamp. Rooms are tiny, beds are awful - I modified mine to make it just about bearable, walls are dirty, sheets are marked/stained, grime all in the shower, hair dryer didn't work... The list goes on.... Located just in a couple of minutes from Liceu metro station (and near La Rambla street). Not far from Carrefour shop is situated. Breakfasts are ok for european 4* hotel, with fresh orange juice. Room space is enough for 2 adults and one kid. Wi-Fi is ok and of cause free of charge. And in spite of the fact hotel... More

Whilst I am sure this hotel can be nice as other reviewers have mentioned – I would not trust this hotel at all. Two weekends ago I was strolling past the hotel at 8PM and a thick pint beer glass full of beer was deliberately aimed at me and other strollers below – it came within 2 inches of me... More

Lovely hotel, just off La Rambla. OUr family room was very generous in size. Breakfast was okay. Our room (1101) is right on the street, so a bit noisy. Ask for one at back if noise bothers you. Hotel reception very friendly. We were also able to borrow 2 bikes from Reception at no charge. Definitely do Barcelona by bike.... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
