My 1st solo trip ever was to Barcelona and I couldn't begin to explain how much anxiety I had once I hopped of the train station from the airport and arrived in Ramblas. It was my fault that I didn't book a hotel earlier and once I started to do my research once I arrived it became overwhelming and pricey.... More

Ally's Guest House was a great place to stay! Really well located, only 10 min walking distance from the famous streat La Rambla and 5 min away the Sagrada Familia. Rooms are really spacious and bright. Breakfast is generous and you have the chance to meet other travellers coming to enjoy this incredible city. Highly recommended!

Great place for the price. My son and I went without the wife and girls and spent 9 nights there. In the center of everything. If you are looking for luxury, it may not be for you. Although you share a flat with others, at the time we went there was really no one else there except for a day... More

We stayed here on our trip to Barcelona and found it to be a very good place to have as a "home base". Close to the metro and many good restaurants are nearby. The breakfasts are very good and the rooms are comfortable. The neighborhood always seemed safe even though it didn't have a lot of foot traffic in the... More

This place was absolutely perfect! The breakfast was wonderful (pastries! spanish omelette!), the flat was lovely, and the location was great. I love the Eixample area where this guest house is located: good choice of cafes, restaurants, lovely shops, a few tourists but not overrun with them. You are about halfway between the Sagrada Familia and Casa Mila/the block of... More

Stayed for one night only. We booked a twin room with shared bathroom, but were given a room with private toilet and shower (even though they said they were fully booked), nice surprise there. Thank you Ally's Guest house! :) So here is what we liked: - mattress quality - free drinking water - teas and coffee in the lobby... More

I didn't like this place. I didn't like the service we got, not the room we had or the breakfast. Clean, yes in some terms, but otherwise no. We had a room without city view. What we didn't know was that this also meant a room without a window? It was like living in a closet three days and paying... More

Situated perfectly- walking distance to hop on/hop off bus. Staff was helpful abs friendly. We would definitely recommend Ally's and would stay there again. Also would be great for younger travelers - there were a few groups from all over the world- all different age groups

I was not expecting much. As I only wanted a place to spend one night before an early flight next day. The location is amazing about 10mn walk to plaça de Catalunya if you took the shuttle from the airport. I arrived and went to the 5th floor where the principal lives her selfe, she had my reservation ready then... More

Graciela was so very helpful. I had to stay here for my last evening as the original place was over booked. Graciela helped me get to the airport because the metro doesn't run 24 hours during the week and I ad to spend extra $$ to get to the airport. The room was comfortable and clean. She offered me breakfast... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
