Staff were helpful and English was very good. Lovely breakfast of continental meats and bread. Cakes and coffee available 24/7. Great location and near a metro. Lovely district and some fab pubs and restaurants nearby. The Sagradia Familia is within walking distance.

We have stayed at Ally's House 7 times now and have been very happy every time. We travel with groups of 8 to 10 17 and 18-year old students and each time we stay at Ally's, Graciela gives us a full apartment for the 10-12 of us (so the bathrooms are just for us and the sitting and dining area... My girlfriend and I stayed in the guesthouse for 7 nights in the exterior room with balcony and a private bathroom. overall, we had a good experience, but there were many things that definitely made it harder for us to enjoy the place. we'll start with the positive: the location! a walking distance to many of the main attractions and... Ally's Guest House is not a terrible place to stay in, but the myriad of cons far outweigh the pros. The location is ideal: in a calmer and quieter area but still relatively centric, within walking distance of Sagrada Familia, Passeig de Gracia, Pl. Catalunya, etc. The nearest metro stop is a 2min walk away, and the neighborhood has a... More

Very hard to find on the street. The elevator is very inconvenient for big luggage. I confirmed our time of arrival twice and we were still treated like they weren't expecting us. Not very friendly during check-in, didn't give us the room we had booked. The rooms with street view balcony are okay, nice view, but the double bed was... More

We (couple from Germany) stayed in Ally's Guest House for 4 nights over new years eve. The rooms/whole appartment was clean and the breakfast was always plenty and fresh. The guest house is located in an old building close to the cities main attractions and the room was surprisingly quiet and warm. The owner was easy to talk to and... More

Me and my girlfriend went for a city break in Barcelona and we stayed at Ally`s Guest House. At arrival our host was very friendly, showed us the room, we had chosen the insuite double room, the view was to the alley, but in fairness that is mentioned on the description of the room when you book it. Anyway that... More

We were looking for convenient, clean, & comfortable budget lodging for this trip. Ally's was perfect! Super clean & comfy. My sister and I reserved the room with 2 singles and private bath. Convenient to the metro, a few restaurants, little grocery store and in a very safe neighborhood (2 women traveling). Our hosts were women and provided great insight... More

Our stay was a very comfortable 3 nights. Chose Ally's for location which was excellent for the sights and metro/bus. Certainly will be a first choice for a return visit to this fabulous city. Very welcoming and helpful owners/staff. Loved its understated ambience.

I enjoyed the stay a lot and will come back. Given various experiences in Barcelona, this place is the best by far. Clean, neat, cosy and good standard. I felt very comfortable there. :) Breakfast is not too rich but gives you all basics you may want. :) Close to metro :)

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
