We stayed four nights at this cosy hotel. It is very well located and 10 minutes walking distance to city center, 2 minutes to subway and 15 minutes to barceloneta beach. The room is a bit small which was told when we make the reservation, but very clean and furnished with a very comfortable bed and a big size led... More

After a business seminar I stayed in Barcelona for two days with a colleague. We booked this hotel. If you are on the budget this is great solution! Bear in mind that this is the 1 star hotel, don't be unrealistic with expectations. Great for sleepover and to have a place just to change your clothes and take a shower.... More

The hotel is very well located. It is still at walking distance from many main attractions, restaurants and the beach, and a few meters away from the metro. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We could hear some noise from the terrace, but it was not very disturbing. Stuff was very friendly and helped with directions and questions. Internet... More

I was in Europe for several week for work and took a weekend trip to Barcelona as I had never visited Spain before. I wanted to try a place that wasn't a chain, but locally owned and went with La Ciudadela and wasn't disappointed. It's close enough to walk to the old quarter. The staff were very helpful. And the... More

i spent 5 days in this little hotel in summer 2014. me and my friend got interior double room. it was very clean ( many three star hotels do not have such a clean room) and comfortable.staff was attentive and friendly. metro was very close, location was ideal, within walking distance to many attractions. on the ground floor there was... This is our third time staying at this hotel. The rooms are simple but well maintained. We like to stay in Room 118, which is a corner room with two windows allowing for a cooling cross breeze. The hotel location is ideal if you want to stay near old center of town. The rooms facing the street can be rather... More

Friendly, helpful staff, great location within easy walking distance to main attractions in Barcelona...for a bargain price. I choose a small internal room as I was travelling alone and planned to be out exploring all day. The room was clean, comfortable and cosy. Having the park across the road meant I could do some yoga easily and in a beautiful... More

Comfortable stay, very clean rooms, lovely restaurant and extremely helpful and friendly staff. Location is superb for exploring Barcelona, bus and metro handy and walkable. Exterior rooms have some traffic and street noise which can be a problem anywhere you stay in the city. A/C excellent. Bed and room very comfortable. Great experience!

We chose this hotel first because of the location, after having reviewed a dozen of hotels near la Rambla which all seemed to have inconvenients, specially the noise. And so the location is superb, right in front of the park of La Ciutadella (where I had a nice jogging session) and near the Arc de Triomf. It's also not far... More

Staying in Ciutadella / Vila Olimpica

Neighborhood Profile
Ciutadella / Vila Olimpica
The sounds of Marina Olympica's rocking boats and clicking mastheads swaying to and fro set an impressive backdrop for Ciutadella and Villa Olimpica. Follow the aromas of garlic, wine, and fresh local fish to the various restaurants running along the marina. A grand bronze fish statue soaring high above serves as a beacon to those searching for the renowned Casino Barcelona or the extremely popular nightclubs which practically lie on the beach itself.
