First of all the hotel's location is perfect, only 2 mins from La Rabla, at Gothic Quarter, close to metro station, 5 mins form aquarium and 10 mins from Barceloneta. The hotel was clean and nice but the room was too small, the safe was locked by key, but there wasn't a key in the room. Trying to call reception... More

Stayed as a group. Rooms are spacious and clean. Our room was facing the street and windows are not so soundproof. Location is great, right near la Rambla and the Gothic quarter. There was no soap or shampoo, and they charge 2 euros pee day for a safe. Breakfast is adequate.

Stayed here with some friends, the hotel was booked by one of them. It’s all fine. The hotel seems to occupy two buildings, so the floors do not quite match etc, and there are two separate lifts. Just quirky, no problem. Rooms are reasonable size (for Europeans, this is not USA), well presented and clean. The decor in the hotel... More

We have just returned from a short break for my 40th birthday. The front of the hotel is attractive and faces a courtyard. There is a lot of refurbishment work going on in the surrounding area. Upon entering the reception area we were instantly hit with the smell of cigarette smoke. The reception area is small but otherwise clean and... More

overall good - mainly thanks to the location close to the Ramblas, in the Gothic centre and a footway from the harbour, perfect for any kind of movement and approx. 4 min. walk from the metro station. Room was unfortunately in the floor base, without outside windows only light from the central corridor and on the first day very cold...personnel... More

I thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful hotel which was part of a package. TAXI: The taxi fare from the airport was expensive at over €30 but to find your own way might prove to be difficult. I did manage to get an airport bus from the top of the Rambla for €6 on my return journey. HOTEL: The hotel entrance, room... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
