Very friendly accommodating staff. Close to everything, metro, Ramblas, beach. A good base to see the city. Lots of places to eat and drink nearby. Well worth a stay. We asked to change our room twice, once on the recommendation of the staff so we could have a bigger room! And secondly for better aircon - it was no drama... More

It was a small hotel near to all city attractions. We could go everywhere on foot easily. Our room had a window looking into the hallway; this made it a little dark and no fresh air. However, we were out for the whole day, so it didn't bother us. We had single beds which were very small (narrow). Staff was... More

A wonderful hotel in Barcelona. The location is great being that it is close to the metro and all the sights. The service is excellent. The front desk was very helpful with sightseeing tips and recommendations for dinner.

Not 4, maybe 3+. Air condition poor and noisy. Quite tidy room. Very good location close to the Rambla. Also very short distance to the waterfront boulevard leading to the city beach. Great old building but it doesn't show in hotel life since the old parts are not in active daily use. Generally quite 90's overall look. In front of... More

Thanks for your comments, sorry noise, be advised that we have more quiet interior rooms, although the problem of the square is rather timely. Sorry for not having fulfilled their expectations. Elisabet Robles. Department of customer service. More

no air conditioning! Freezing cold to be told hotel does not have heating. We have been traveling for 2 months and this is the first time we've not had any heating. And we've stayed in some basic places. To be cold is inexcusable and a total disregard of their guests. The bed has 1 sheet and 1 thin cover. The... More

Overall we had a wonderful stay at Medinaceli. We arrived at 2am and the person on reception was friendly and welcoming even though it was a horrible hour of the morning. Breakfast was nice was a good selection. Only flaw was the bed was not the most comfortable but the room was quiet so still got a good sleep regardless.... More

The room was a bit too small, and mine (116) had no natural light, which made it not so pleasant. This I could not make out from the photos online. Also, I could not dine there, another thing I did not enjoy. Otherwise, great staff, clean room, very discreet staff (except Reception, you could hardly see anyone, but still the... More

It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences.
