Stayed here for two nights with our daughters during our summer tour of Catalonia. Recommended by Alistair Sawday who is rarely wrong and again, he hit the spot. Charming restored old house alongside the village church with equally charming hosts Marion and Martin. Rooms were all excellent. My wife and I were on the ground floor with an ensuite room... More

Thank you Marian and Martin, its not often you stay at a hotel and receive excellent customer service at every level from polite and pleasant people. Keep the good work you are great in what you have chosen to do... Haroula & Ioanna

Stayed there for 2 nights in August after visiting Barcelona. It was my first time staying at a country B&B, and I loved it. The house is unique. Marian and Martin were great hosts, warm but not intruding. And I still miss the lazy summer afternoons by the pool in the Spanish countryside.

Great B&B in the hillside of a small village in the Penedes. We stayed here at the beginning of our trip to Barcelona while visiting the Penedes wine region. The Owners were very warm and helpful and suggested a wonderful restaurant within walking distance of the hotel, restaurant U. Probably our best dining experience of the whole trip. The room... More

We arrived at this guesthouse as the last stay on a cycle trip in Catalunya. The setting is magnificent with incredible views across the vineyards with incredible mountains in the background. It is an old house which has been beautifully restored. Our room had a huge bathroom and its own little terrace area. The pool is great for relaxing. Marian... More

We came here on the recommendation of Paddy, a local wine tour guide who was due to show us around this cava-producing region of Spain. The photographs looked good, but couldn't even compare to the reality of the village and the building that we reached at the very top of the village of Les Gunyoles. We parked in the shadow... More

Marian and Martin have built a boutique style, very upmarket guest house inside a collection of old village houses at the top of a hamlet in the hills outside Barcelona. The views are brilliant and the interior is enlivened by assorted works of art, curios and a modern steel staircase in the main lobby. A glass of cava on the... More

Where did we find this hotel? We were looking for a hotel in the Penedes via "Casa Rural" on the internet. We know Spain well and this was an area we hadn't given enough attention. We speak Spanish and love the authentic Spanish way of life (not the Costa del whatever). We liked the look and location Cal Mestre and... More
