We went there with our 11 year old son and stayed for a week. Loved it! Location perfect! Room was clean, free water bottles, friendly staff and we used the rooftop terrace every day. 15 min walk to the beach. Very close to Rambla, the zoo and Picasso museum. Wonderful icecream store across the street. We will return :)

We spent an amazing week at this Fabulous Hotel, we were really surprised by the professionalism and the kindness of the Lovely Staff. The Location of it is really strategic, and the Street is full of Souvenir shops, coffee shops, Tapas Bars... The Metro station is 2mn far way by feet. I would recommend this LOVELY HOTEL to any one who's... More

This hotel is in a great neighbourhood, close to Parc Ciutadella, Arc de Triomf, Barcelona Cathedral, the Picasso Museum and surrounded by numerous interesting streets and squares where the rhythm of the city is played every day. Although the rooms overlooking Carrer Princesa can be a bit noisy the ones at the back are very quiet. A small restaurant is... More

The hotel is located in del Born at the heart of Barcelona. Although Del Born itself is a fantastic place to hang around with many tapas cafes, restaurant and bars, all the other most famous touristic places like La Rambla, Plaça Catalunya and Barcelonata could be easily reached by just 10-15 min walk or 1-2 metro stops. Hotel Ciutat de... More

Located in an arty neighborhood with old alleys close to the Picasso Museum and the museum of chocolate. Little far from the Las Ramblas but within walking distance. Our room was small but comfortable and clean. Staff was polite. Do not expect any luxury but an overall good experience when staying in this hotel in Barcelona.

The hotel is just a 2 minute walk from the Picasso Museum and walking distance from most of the popular tourist sites/attractions. The staff was very polite, friendly and helpful. You won't find many frills, but it a very clean, modern establishment with everything that you need. The unlimited complimentary bottled water that was provided was very much appreciated! I... More

Very nice and modern hotel with a nice rooftop terrasse and pool, very central and relatively quiet... The rooms have AC and a bright look, all fairly new and giving a nice and comfortable surrounding. The restaurant next door has a good-looking variety of tapas...

Breakfasts a little pricey. Rooms are modern and clean and recently renovated. Local bakery, a few steps from the front door, is a fantastic alternative for coffee, fresh juice and warm croissants at a fraction of the cost.

The hotel is in a great location - BUT that comes with the negative side There is a bar right under the hotel that is open until 3am! If you have a room on the interior side I imagine you won´t hear it but on the street side it will be noisy.

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
