I basically just need a clean, safe place to sleep and take a shower. I spend minimal time in a hotel, so I don't need much. This hotel was certainly all I needed. Very clean, roomy enough (though not much extra space), and a pretty comfortable sleep. I got an interior room, which was nice and quiet. The bed felt... More

Overall the hotel was excellent, it is located in a great area of the Gothic Quarter within a 2 minute walk of the Picasso Museum and 5-10 minute was to the lovely marina. The staff endeavor to sort out any problems you may have and are very attentive although language is a slight problem if you do not speak Spanish.... More

What an absolutely lovely hotel! Discreet charm, I think, is the term that best describes it. It's just there and caters to a traveller's needs, I picked it based on reviews here and at hotel.com - seems everybody's been happy with this hotel. Easy to find, a few minutes' walk from everywhere, loved the bakery and the choclaterie across the... More

Really great location, near lots of restaurants and attractions. Great buffet lunch in week for €8.50 including glass of wine. Close to Jaume underground station. Stafff v friendly and speak excellent English. Room v comfortable but not enough drawer/shelf space, otherwise it would have got 5 stars.

Landed on Friday night, Thomas the receptionist was very nice and helpful. A Band played in the lobby which created a great atmosphere. The rooms were very clean. And a very good location as well. The stay was very pleasant we will probably come back

Great location for this hotel. Only reason it does not get 5 stars is the bed was hard as a rock! And only one skinny pillow. The front desk is great. The shower great. Water is free daily on each floor which is a blessing. The current hotel in Nice charged us 2 euro for one 50cl bottle of water.... More

What did we love? First thing that comes to mind - that wonderful rooftop - room to relax, lie by the pool, enjoy the fresh air. The room was great too - plenty of room, comfortable. And we love the location - easy access to the sights and the beach, lots of great restaurants nearby.

We were recommended this hotel and do not regret. Being situated in walking distance to everyting you want to see and do in Barcelona. And we love the sun deck on the roof, great place to relax. The rooms are clean and modern. Also the restaurant on the main floor is charming. Hotel staff seems friendly.

Nice and quiet room. The cleaning was good. Water in a cooler on every floor for free. We tested the breakfast but found it not priceworthy. Good service from the staff. We can reccomend this hotel because of nearness to playa as well as shops and restarants.

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
