Staying here at the moment with a friend. Really impressed, our room is spotless with a huge bathroom and even a little balcony! The man on reception is really friendly and so helpful. Would definitely recommend and will return again for sure!

Not far from the main attractions but in a far nicer part of the city than the Ramblas etc. Here you will find different cafes and shops down narrow alleyways and beautiful old buildings on each side. Not far from the Picasso museum, you'll find some lovely bars nearby for tapas and music. The rooms were spotless, large and comfortable.... More

Went to this great little hotel for my fiancé's 40th birthday. For how much I paid, this hotel is superb. It's only a 10 minute walk to the ramblas, and the gothic district is great for twisty narrow little medieval alleys dotted with bars and restaurants, not to mention the shops, great architecture and basilicas. It's also very close to... More

We went there with our 11 year old son and stayed for a week. Loved it! Location perfect! Room was clean, free water bottles, friendly staff and we used the rooftop terrace every day. 15 min walk to the beach. Very close to Rambla, the zoo and Picasso museum. Wonderful icecream store across the street. We will return :)

This hotel is in a great neighbourhood, close to Parc Ciutadella, Arc de Triomf, Barcelona Cathedral, the Picasso Museum and surrounded by numerous interesting streets and squares where the rhythm of the city is played every day. Although the rooms overlooking Carrer Princesa can be a bit noisy the ones at the back are very quiet. A small restaurant is... More

The hotel is located in del Born at the heart of Barcelona. Although Del Born itself is a fantastic place to hang around with many tapas cafes, restaurant and bars, all the other most famous touristic places like La Rambla, Plaça Catalunya and Barcelonata could be easily reached by just 10-15 min walk or 1-2 metro stops. Hotel Ciutat de... More

Located in an arty neighborhood with old alleys close to the Picasso Museum and the museum of chocolate. Little far from the Las Ramblas but within walking distance. Our room was small but comfortable and clean. Staff was polite. Do not expect any luxury but an overall good experience when staying in this hotel in Barcelona.

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
