Lovely hotel, helpful and welcoming staff, most of them speak enough English to help which we really appreciate. Lots of places to eat nearby. Park and metro within easy walking distance. The roof terrace is a nice place to chill, with a limited view and a small pool...just big enough to cool off in.

Lovely newly refurbished clean quiet hotel in a great location. Friendly helpful staff and a gelato bar literally across the road. Just near Picasso Museum and many other attractions. Highly recommended and there is a pool on the rooftop terrace.

The location of the hotel is great and close to the metro and many sites, we mainly stayed around the El Born at night so this was ideal. The staff were all helpful and spoke good English, The rooftop terrace with the pool is a great feature. The rooms are clean and functional they are small but we spent very... More

It's a decent hotel with very pleasant staff and modern, clean rooms. The location is also good, you're close to a lot of shops and food places and the metro and main old quarter area is easy walking distance

The Hotel is in the district El Born, around the corner of the Picasso Museum, many other sights and many tapas bars and cute shops. For us, the location to explore the city was perfect. Rooms are simple, but fair price-quality ratio for a city trip and if you do not intend to spent much time in the room. No... More

I basically just need a clean, safe place to sleep and take a shower. I spend minimal time in a hotel, so I don't need much. This hotel was certainly all I needed. Very clean, roomy enough (though not much extra space), and a pretty comfortable sleep. I got an interior room, which was nice and quiet. The bed felt... More

Overall the hotel was excellent, it is located in a great area of the Gothic Quarter within a 2 minute walk of the Picasso Museum and 5-10 minute was to the lovely marina. The staff endeavor to sort out any problems you may have and are very attentive although language is a slight problem if you do not speak Spanish.... More

What an absolutely lovely hotel! Discreet charm, I think, is the term that best describes it. It's just there and caters to a traveller's needs, I picked it based on reviews here and at hotel.com - seems everybody's been happy with this hotel. Easy to find, a few minutes' walk from everywhere, loved the bakery and the choclaterie across the... More

Really great location, near lots of restaurants and attractions. Great buffet lunch in week for €8.50 including glass of wine. Close to Jaume underground station. Stafff v friendly and speak excellent English. Room v comfortable but not enough drawer/shelf space, otherwise it would have got 5 stars.

Landed on Friday night, Thomas the receptionist was very nice and helpful. A Band played in the lobby which created a great atmosphere. The rooms were very clean. And a very good location as well. The stay was very pleasant we will probably come back

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
