We stayed 4nights in this 1-star hotel. The location is perfect to feel the old historical district of Barcelona. The hotel and the rooms are simple, some of them has just a little tiny window which facing to a firewall but if you want just a place to sleep - this is perfect. Wifi is all-around the hotel and free,... More

La Rambla is just a few steps from hotel, Plaza del Catalunya is max 10 min walk, Barceloneta is very near, actually main places to see in Barcelona city center are walking distance. Room was bigger and more spacious than we expected. Small balcony was a pleasant surprise. Room was clean and staff was ok. I have nothing really to... More

no air conditioning. very small, cramped rooms. staff are rude. fire alarm is constantly going off. various funny smells throughout the hotel. we had to wait a very long, tired time when we arrived as they were late getting ready for our check in.

Fantastic location, only 1 minute walk from centre of La Rambla and really close to the market. 10 minute walk to Playa Catalunya and again only 10 minutes from the Port. Only a short walk to Placa Reail, where we found some fantastic restaurants. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, room was always clean and cleaned each day. Perfect hotel... More

Situated right near the main Rambles walkway and close to a huge array of bars this place basically did all that a guy who was away from his wife for a couple of days needed... IE let me in at whatever time I rolled in at, and provided me with a bed to collapse on once I'd negotiated getting to... More

We stayed at this hotel while attending a conference. It's just down a side street off La Rambla. There's a building with a Chinese dragon and umbrellas (Casa Bruno Cuadros) at the start of the side street. It's literally in the middle of La Rambla. A 5-10 minute walk from Placa de Catalunya and 5-10 minute walk from the Port.... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
