Ideally located just off Las Ramblas and just opposite the Liceu Metro station, so it made an ideal base to visit the sights of Barcelona. Very helpful and friendly staff. The hotel was clean, room well presented and very reasonably priced, even when travelling with SA Rands. Others had mentioned noise from the late night revelers but we did not... More

I stayed in a single room on the 3rd floor for 2 nights in early November 2015 before my Transatlantic cruise from Barcelona. In view of the price and location, I think this is a good value budget hotel. 1. Hotel location - It is located at the heart of the tourist area, i.e. Les Rambles and Liceu metro station.... More

Don't expect a five star hotel, but it does provide you with all the basics you need, such as bed and ensuite, aircon, TV, etc. I loved the little balcony, where you can look down on the street. The hotel is small and narrow, but the rooms are bigger and it was more quiet than I expected. The rooms are... More

Hotel Ingles - Barcelona situated in Carrer de la Boqueria. A clean, functional 1 star Hotel sit in the Old/Gothic part of this magnificent city. The larger rooms end in 02 or 08 and worth requesting and paying extra. The hotel is a short walk from the Liceu Metro, ideally situated to tour the city.If you have never visited Barcelona,... This hotel is in the best spot in town. Right on the rambla and very close to the old city. Only cons are bad wifi reception at least on the fourth floor and also took tree two euro a day to use the volt in the room.

The hotel is situated exactly in the center, which is an advantage. I have nothing bad to say about reception staff. The room was clean at first sight, but after first nigth we discover that there are fleas in bed!! Totally disappointed....not worth it!

Set yards from the centre of Las Ramblas you won't find a better location. The triple room I stayed in was sparse but very clean and tidy with a good bath/shower room. The beds were comfortable enough and the solitary wardrobe had enough space and hangers for a short break. Maid service and clean towels on a daily basis was... More

Hotel location is great as all people says. Room was clean and quite good size, bed was to hard for me and pillow funny shape. Staff was helpful and polite, especially lady at the evenings. Breakfast costs more 4,30€ and it's served at restaurant next door, it was ok for the price, you'll get coffee/tea, toast, croissant, juice, some jam... More

Nice hotel. Friendly staff, clean rooms and no frills. Good place but be careful walking back to this hotel after midnight, the street is narrow with a lot of alleys where someone could ambush you if your alone.

The hotel room is tiny, it is better to stay at a hotel near the Born district or on Via Laietana which is just a 2-5 minute walk to La Rambla. Besides the tiny room, the sheets are like paper, the sink does not drain properly, the shower does not drain properly, so you are showering with your feet completely... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
