Fantastic location, only 1 minute walk from centre of La Rambla and really close to the market. 10 minute walk to Playa Catalunya and again only 10 minutes from the Port. Only a short walk to Placa Reail, where we found some fantastic restaurants. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, room was always clean and cleaned each day. Perfect hotel... More

Situated right near the main Rambles walkway and close to a huge array of bars this place basically did all that a guy who was away from his wife for a couple of days needed... IE let me in at whatever time I rolled in at, and provided me with a bed to collapse on once I'd negotiated getting to... More

We stayed at this hotel while attending a conference. It's just down a side street off La Rambla. There's a building with a Chinese dragon and umbrellas (Casa Bruno Cuadros) at the start of the side street. It's literally in the middle of La Rambla. A 5-10 minute walk from Placa de Catalunya and 5-10 minute walk from the Port.... More

I was recently on a business trip to Barcelona (expenses unpaid) so I needed somewhere reasonably priced and central for three nights. I wasn't quite sure what to expect but Hotel Ingles proved to be a great choice. The location was perfect, the room was small with no frills but very clean and had everything I could have wanted. Would... More

My single accommodation was small and simple, almost school hostel style but clean and I did not need much else. WiFi however was on vacation most of the time except for a certain spot on my floor (fourth) which became my cyber lounge. Excellent location; near the metro, a street away from the Rambla and within walking distance to most... More

Great hotel less than 100m from las ramblas. We had a room at the front with a small balcony and its was fine, double glazed sliding doors,so no noise from the street below even though we were there on wc final weekend!! Room was large enough for three single beds with plenty of wardrobe space.Bathroom was adequate though the bath is little... More

The location of his hotel is undoubtedly excellent, I expect the front of the hotel can be noisy due to this, we were in a room at the back and were lucky enough to have a big terrace / balcony, this was under the church tower, and this does bong every 15 mins throughout the day (not at night), but... Hygiene should be a lot better! We actually had to ask to come and clean again. Especcially the bathroom. The bed is really hard. We had a room on the front, which was really noisy (1 street from Las Ramblas) The staff was friendly, especially the lady at the reception in the morning. She was passionate about her job and... Stayed here for one night recently. Rate of €69 room only. Very clean, good aircon, little balcony. Lots of noise from outside but this was expected considering location to Las Ramblas. Always had a prompt reply to emails and they arrange taxi from airport. Would stay here again.

Located short walk away from La Rambla, Hotel Ingles is a small and cosy hotel, very good for a budget stay. English speaking staff is helpful and can advise you on where to eat out or how to get to sights you want to see. Please note, you may be asked to show your passport and your credit card if... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
