I had obtained a cheap return flight from Glasgow, and as I have another two holidays booked in the near future, I did not want to spend a lot on accomodation. I found the Hostel Ramblas, which seemed to fit the bill at 100 euros for 4 nights, and was in a good central location. There are a number of... More

Travelled from Sept 22-25th 2014. We arrived a bit late due to the unclear directions from google maps. Upon arrival, we've been greeted by a lovely friendly staff that took in all our details and gave us the keys. The lift were a little small but thats fine as boyfriend and I only had a small suitcase to share. We... More

Property was OK, but there's no manager. Only receptionists to deal with your queries. budget places was also a nightmare to book hotel with. They won't help you to amend your booking dates. sometimes price it says on line, you will end up paying more than that. people back late at night were quite noisy, no respect of others' comfort.I... I was there twice. When I went to Barcelona in September I really enjoyed the stay there, because the hostel is just few minutes away from La Rambla. The price is ok and breakfast is included (tea, coffee, cheese, bread, ham or something similar, butter, jam, milk, juice). When I came back in November I was really disappointed. It was really cold inside. The heating didn't work,... More

Stayed here for 5 nights. Great street, right off ramblers avenue where it all happens. 7min walk to the port and around 12-15 to the beach. Great location. I only give it a 3 because barca can be a little dodgy. But Breakfast is so so but it was free.. It also has a communal kitchen which is great and... More

The hotel is situated in a very nice location. The following metro lines are a walking distance away: Liceu, Parral-lel & Catalunya. The street outside the hotel is very busy at night. My room was at the top floor so there were no sound from the streets. The staffs are very friendly and the rooms were pretty clean. The downside... More

Me and my gf stayed here for three nights in June. The hotel is simple but has everything we needed (we are not fussy) we had a room with our own bathroom, room was small. The hotel looks very cool and was safe as there was someone at reception all the time. Breakfast was fine for us as we eat... More

Stayed here for 6 nights in a private single with a shared bathroom. The room had everything I needed although it was a bit small for one person it was fine. The air con was great, the towels were changed daily, the shared bathroom was also extreme clean and the staff were very helpful in recommending restaurants. Would definitely be... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
