I was there twice. When I went to Barcelona in September I really enjoyed the stay there, because the hostel is just few minutes away from La Rambla. The price is ok and breakfast is included (tea, coffee, cheese, bread, ham or something similar, butter, jam, milk, juice). When I came back in November I was really disappointed. It was really cold inside. The heating didn't work,... More

Stayed here for 5 nights. Great street, right off ramblers avenue where it all happens. 7min walk to the port and around 12-15 to the beach. Great location. I only give it a 3 because barca can be a little dodgy. But Breakfast is so so but it was free.. It also has a communal kitchen which is great and... More

The hotel is situated in a very nice location. The following metro lines are a walking distance away: Liceu, Parral-lel & Catalunya. The street outside the hotel is very busy at night. My room was at the top floor so there were no sound from the streets. The staffs are very friendly and the rooms were pretty clean. The downside... More

Me and my gf stayed here for three nights in June. The hotel is simple but has everything we needed (we are not fussy) we had a room with our own bathroom, room was small. The hotel looks very cool and was safe as there was someone at reception all the time. Breakfast was fine for us as we eat... More

Stayed here for 6 nights in a private single with a shared bathroom. The room had everything I needed although it was a bit small for one person it was fine. The air con was great, the towels were changed daily, the shared bathroom was also extreme clean and the staff were very helpful in recommending restaurants. Would definitely be... More

The staff is very nice and friendly. The hostel is centrally located near La Rambla. Internet is good and available in rooms. The toilets and bathrooms are clean and shared between people on each floor. Only criticism is that we found lots of dust under the bed which tells me they are thorough with the cleaning.

Usual hostel, small rooms and loads of stairs. Only one bathroom per floor. Our balcony wasn't a balcony, just a door that opened onto a fence. Average breakfast, bread juice and coffee. Okay if you're on a right budget but I've stayed in better hostels elsewhere.

We stayed at the Ramblas Hotel in a 2 person private room with private bathroom. We initially had a problem with the booking we made via booking.com. The hotel contacted us minutes after booking to say the price was wrong on the website and it should be double what we paid. I emailed back to encourage them to honor the... More

We stayed there 3 nights with my wife. Location was so good. Prices also ok. Personnel very helpful. It was very good option to take advice from personnel for your daily trip/plan. Actually it was good more than I expected. I'm gonna choose same hotel, if I come to Barcelona again.

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
