The hostel itself is on one of the back roads but is also Student residence for the University, so it was very easy to find. We parked a car in their parking - it was very secure and safe; no worries there, and at 15euros a night, it seemed reasonable. The staff were warm and welcoming, spoke very good English... More

For Barcelona, this place is rather cheap. Therefore I did not have very high expectations. I stayed in room 321 for 12 nights. Bellow I will present the pros and cons. Pros: - very well situated: 5 min. walk to Barceloneta beach and 10 min walk to Barceloneta metro station; - safe neighborhood as I did not encounter any problem... More

Room was small but clean. WiFi was fairly good. The best thing about this place is the location, extremely close to beach, walked to many of the attractions but if you don't want to walk metro is easy to use.

The Residence is located in the city center, at the same time it's very close (3--5 minutes on foot) to the promenade and beaches of Barcelona. It's excellent for the hotels of its class and cheap. The single room is small, but has everything what you need, including desk and large wardrobe + there is small kitchen with all equipment... More

If you are looking for a place in Barcelona to throw your bag and stuff and stay outside most of the time this is the place for you. It's cheap and the location is excellent. But expect: - Noise from students and other guests day and night. The rooms are separated by gibson boards and not real walls so you... More

The Residence is located near the sea which is very good for the summer time. It is equiped with a kitchennete, dishes, microwave oven and everything you need for cooking. Our room was clean and the cleaning was OK. Two disadvatages: it was really cold in the end of March and on arrival the garbage bin was full of the... More

It's very close to the sea and metro station of Barcelonetta. Also it is very close to the Barri Gotic neighbourhood which is the oldest part of the city if you're into visiting, like us. We stayed for 5 days then, the service was impeccable, and surely we'll be back here when we get back to Barcelona.

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
