This is university accommodation for students which is rented out as self catering during the university breaks. The room was large with separate sleeping, bathroom and living areas with kitchenette. Beds were clean and comfortable, location was quiet but a short walk from the beach and sea front bars. Las Ramblas and Plaza real were within easy striking distance as... More

Excellent location (beach, shops, bars, metro etc.) Very helpful staff. Breakfast included (milk, cereals, juice, water, tea, donuts etc.), waiting in the fridge for the next day. Kitchen equipped (but no kettle). Wifi works perfectly as well. Very good place as a base to sightseeing or beach activities. The price is competitive. Worth to consider.

Stayed there for a week. It's relatively quite, but it can get really noisy sometimes. The walls are very thin. The rooms were clean. There's a possibility for parking at 15 euros/night. Pharmacy, grocery stores, restaurants and a beautiful beach in just a minute walk. Would return again.

Pluses: - very good location. Beach 2min, metro 5min. Gothic quartal 7 min by foot. La rambla 20 min walking or few min by metro. Residence is not in the centre of Barceloneta, so quite area ( stadium in front of the building, on evenings there are matches played); - big room. There's separated area for bedroom. Small kitchen with... More

The hostel itself is on one of the back roads but is also Student residence for the University, so it was very easy to find. We parked a car in their parking - it was very secure and safe; no worries there, and at 15euros a night, it seemed reasonable. The staff were warm and welcoming, spoke very good English... More

For Barcelona, this place is rather cheap. Therefore I did not have very high expectations. I stayed in room 321 for 12 nights. Bellow I will present the pros and cons. Pros: - very well situated: 5 min. walk to Barceloneta beach and 10 min walk to Barceloneta metro station; - safe neighborhood as I did not encounter any problem... More

Room was small but clean. WiFi was fairly good. The best thing about this place is the location, extremely close to beach, walked to many of the attractions but if you don't want to walk metro is easy to use.

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
