Where do I even begin. They do not even deserve a 1 star rating. The rooms are disgustingly dirty with dust piles in every corner, no hot water, bugs everywhere, absolutely terrible experience. Do not know how it passed health inspections. Nothing as it appears in the pictures, old furniture, drawers of the cabinets falling off the tracks, foam mattress,... More

Had a fantastic stay here. Nice room, nice breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpfull. Realy great location too. The little restaurants around the area are fantastic. It is within easy walking distance from the metro and the train station. Also from the main Barcelona ramblas. Really good place.

24/7 desk, very welcoming atmosphere/personell. Invoice: no problem. Price: ok. Breakfast: very skinny. There was a basket in the fridge with some milk, cereals, cookie, and more. (see foto). I understand for a student residency they can not elaborate on this, however I expected more for my "euro". Location: super The hotel is located on walking distance from the subway.... More

Both the beach and the heart of Barcelona within a short walking distance. Great value, spacious rooms, good a/c, stable WiFi, friendly staff. Also pool, table tennis, self-laundry and easily accessible parking. The bathrooms could use an upgrade, and I would think of the breakfast more like snacks to grab throughout the day (but definitely nice to have!). We really... More

Looking at the other reviews we seem to have been lucky with this place, as we did have AC, our room was big, mini apartment style, and the WiFi (which is a palaver to register for) worked fine. We were in room 321, maybe email to ask for a room like that when booking!

A bit tarnished but everything was working fine, fresh and functional with a well equipped kitchen and a nice shower with a great waterflow unlike many hostels but a minus for not having ac or breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff but they could have opened the window expecting our arrival so the room hadn't been a sauna, took half... More

Rooms are not the same as shown in the pictures. Rooms are very small. Though the staff was friendly. They don't have any canteen inside the hostel. Its really hard to use wifi provided by the hostel. It is not a good choice to stay in this hostel in the hot summers because rooms don't have air-conditioning. It becomes very... More

Room was clean and the staff was very friendly. But the fan provided in the room was useless and it was difficult to sleep in the night having hot & humid weather. Probably a better option in winters.

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
