We checked into the hotel late, but had no problem with room or the services. The room was clean, and the air conditioning (during the summer August month) is decent. Although, the person sleeping closest to the AC will invariably feel colder than the other (while the further person may feel a bit hot). There are only two levels in... More

We got a good deal on this hotel so we weren't expecting anything special. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find a spacious and well equipped room big enough for two girls and lots of clothing!! We had asked for a double room which turned out to be twin beds pushed together - this suited us completely. We had a... More

The hotel Urban del Comte is what I would call just average. The location is fine but the rooms are small and cold or hot! The air conditioning has only two settings ON or OFF! Breakfast was also pretty much average. You had to be early to have bacon with your eggs. when things ran out that was just it!... More

Great value for money and great location easy to get to the centre of the city. Not sound proof but we only noticed it in the mornings as others went to breakfast. Clean comfortable perfect for a short visit

Nice hotel, not far away from Urgell metro station. (2 minute walk) Room was nice, bathroom nice. Only fault I had was upon arrival I was greeted by a gentleman who quite rudely told me I was lucky as my room was going to be cancelled at 18:00 if I did not arrive. Apparently there had been a problem with... More

I stayed here from June 5-June 14. Good things... The location of the hotel is fine. It's close to the subway station ( a block away) and near several grocery stores and restaurants within a 5 min walk. The neighbourhood is safe, and security at the hotel is adequate for the neighbourhood. The wifi was good, and I experienced no... More

I stayed in a party of three - three separate rooms. We were allocated rooms near to each other, which was convenient. The room was small, but ample for me. It was kept immaculately clean. There was a safety deposit box in the room, which was included in the price. I can't really comment on any noise as I'm a... More

Found the hotel quite easily, parking not so easily. Bit of a dark reception area. Room was clean and comfortable and of a high standard. Bathroom was large. Breakfast was more than adequate. Tourist bus tour was excellent and would definately recommend the gaude church, spectacular. Las ramblas was a good walk from the hotel but well worth the walk.... More

Great choice we made when we choose this little hotel - very well located in the heart of Eixample. This is an area of Barcelona which is more typical with not so many tourists. Metro Urgell at the corner of the street and easy to walk to the Ramblas and Bari Gotic too. Gay friendly in the streets around and... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
