The hotel is situated very close to the University square, where you can catch the Aerobus from and to the airport, plus close to Metro station. It's in the center, great location for sight - seeing, but much more peaceful from anywhere close to Las Ramblas or other very touristic places. You can find nearby lots of restaurants and bars.... The first thing that strikes you when you get to the hotel is the nice smell, yes the place smells great!!! Well, good sign in my opinion, which means that the hotel is very clean....yes, and the bedroom and bathroom were spotless...the location is great near the Universitat Metro and the Plaza Catalunya....it was our second time in Barcelona this... Very close to the Plaza Catalunya, university and St. Antoni is the perfect location for those who want peaceful nights far away from las rambles but so ... Close. Room was well equipped but it was little small for my size. Wifi was excellent and free. Breakfast is little expensive. If you want anything just outside of the hotel operates... More

I always enjoy trying local hotels when I am overseas. Helps me experience the local culture and bit better than a Holiday Inn full of Americans does. Easy transit from the airport. The aerobus drops off right by the hotel or you can use the metro and choose the Universitat (sp?) station. They let me check in at noon which... More

Very adequate hotel.only 5 mins walk from Placa de Catalunya and The Ramblas.Only here for 3 nights so didn't need a 5 star hotel. This place was a 3 star and only cost £204 including flights! The room had all I needed, decent bed, shower and toilet, coffee making facilities and in room safe. I was only going to be there... More

Don't be put off by it having three stars instead of four: it's as good as many four-star hotels in Barcelona. The location is excellent, and I got a great night's sleep despite it being on a busy street. It's spotlessly clean, the staff are very helpful, polite and friendly, and breakfast was also excellent. The only quibble I could... More

We went to Barcelona during this summer and picked this hotel based on two main reasona: location and price. As for the location, the hotel doesn't disapoint. It's close to the city center but far enough that it's not noisy outside. There's a supermarket outside the hotel open 24/7 and a metro station. Keep in mind that you still have... More

I stayed here for a stag weekend in Barcelona. It is good value for money and I can certainly see it being popular with younger travellers. The hotel is clean, the rooms have aircon, and the wifi has a very good connection and is inclusive in the room price. I didn't pay for breakfast and didn't make use of this... More

Great for a weekend getaway, fair price and perfect location. Breakfast was a European style buffet which gave you a good start to the day. Staff was very friendly, we arrived late in the night nonetheless there was a staff member ready to check us in. Walking distance to all major tourist attractions in the city, did not need a... Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
