The 4-star review has to be considered in context. This is a very cheap hostel for Barcelona and the location is good for access to central areas. Our room was decent enough, with en-suite and air con. Surprisingly good given the price. Functional and no-frills. Would recommend if you just want a base from which to explore the city.

I think its for people that are going to get out abd explore the city rather expecting a luxury holiday in their hotel.. think it's fair to say that this hotel isn't amazing but at the same time we paid so little that we were all the same happy. Yes the hotel doesn't look like the nicest place in the... More

Please keep in mind that this is a Pension not a hotel. But for Barcelona which is very expensive. I liked it very very much. WE only used the room to come back late at night after very long walks and tours in the city. The place keeps open 24 hours and all of the lady's in reception are absolutely... More

If you're looking for a room with a view etc then forget this place. However, it served it's purpose well for me as I was only going to be there for a short stay and most of that time I knew I would be out taking in the sights. The room was small but the bed was comfortable. The women... More

I will definitely stay here again. I found this place very nice. It is clean, cheap, safe, and the staff are really friendly. There is someone at the front desk 24 hours a day. Get exact directions, because the place is on a very small street. You have to ring the bell to enter the lobby. The room (303) that... More

We chose this because of the price and the location and it was adequate for our stay. We enjoyed relative peace and comfort, the main disturbance was fire cracker type fire works but this seemed to happen all around Barcelona. The bed was really comfortable and the air conditioning was efficient. It can only be controlled from reception but by... More

Booked this hotel on a last minute basis due to low price per room. Staff is friendly, rooms are small with thin walls, furniture is basic and outdated, but bathroom looked renovated. I needed to sleep somewhere near walking distance toRambla, but if you want a comfort in the room this is not the place. Room doors look very insecure,... More

Booked this hotel for a city break. Had a look at the previous reviews, some a bit harsh I have to say. The hotel is just off Carder De Joaquim Costa about a minute from a chemist on the corner. Walk down the road abit and take the 2nd left, it's a small reception entrance to your right and your... More

Great location. Its a basic hotel 10 minutes from la ramblas.Situated down a side street sometimes drunks hang round the corner shop but they dont bother you.Towels changed everyday and beds made. The room was a bit dark because of window shutters. We missed having a hotel bar.It was noisy on a night time we live in town centre so we are used... I have just returned from Barcelona. The only good thing about this hotel is good loacation and friendly staff. Close to train station and aeroport bus drop off and a corner shop just opposite that sells toothc brsh to cecream). The rooms are small. Aircon system is one of the worst I have come across in 25 years of travel.... More
