I had read the reviews about the Pension Miami and was prepared for the worst. However we were pleasantly surprised. The staff are fabulous and the building is very secure. On a side street of ronda de st antoni. At weekends there is some protitutes at near street corners. Not many other people. So surroundings are quite safe but not confortable. This place is cheap, and admittedly hotels in Barcelona are always expensive, but I would avoid the Pension Miami at all costs.
