Low cost, wonderful welcome, asked for a less noisy room, everything is good Bathroom is clean with soap, shampoo and towels. Small shower like on a boat. Bed is clean, mattress is a little old but good enough for the price. Elevator works Disclosure: I own and operate a guesthouse in Canada call the Tofino travellers Guesthouse. I had room... More

The location is great but the place is awful even if it's clean. The room was really small as well as the bathroom ...If you are overweight you cannot move around! I wouldn't suggest to anyone because the quality doesn't match the cost

The location is perfect! Five minutes from La universitat Metro station, 10 minutes from La Rambla and 20 from Placa Espana. The staff is really friendly and helps with everything they can. The room was spacious and the staff cleaned it every day. Why they decided to put a bathtub with a strange shower almost in the middle and with... More

Close to Plaza Universitat (in which the bus from the airport stops) and to Plaza Catalunya I succeeded to lose my way when coming from Plaza Universitat, but otherwise it should not be more than 5-10 minutes walk. The room was very small so I would not recommend it for someone that plans to be in the room, but otherwise... More

I have never seen such a bad structure. Small beds and bathroom; very dirty, old inhospitable room; TV of antebellum and a window that is in front of a hole of ambiguous nature; the door that with a push of shoulder would fall down. Furthermore the location and zone one of the worst for security in Barcelona, people that look you... More

Only a couple of minutes away from la rambla, we actually didn't have trouble locating this hotel (probably because we took notice of previous reviewers advices). The area at first seemed a little dodgy, with some people hanging out in a little alley near it, but it became obvious that they were locals, and this wasn't unusual in Spain. The... More

We struggled to locate this hotel, it is not easy to locate, even the person in the tourist centre in the city central could not even locate the hotel on their map. me and a couple of my cousins stayed in this hotel for 4 days in May, the receptionists are all friendly and helpful, nothing special on this hotel... Located on a small alley, it can be a bit hard to find. However, once you find it you realize what a great location this hostel is in. It's right next to a supermarket and pharmacy and only steps from Placa Universitat and many metro stations. It's also only a 5-10 minute walk to Placa Catalunya where you can catch... More

This is a 2 star rated "Pension" (Guest House). It had a lift, clean room, clean bathroom, good hot water and comfortable bed. Free Wi-Fi, Television and friendly helpful staff. Great location in walking distance to all the historical sites. Heap of bars and restaurants nearby and close to Airport Bus Stop and Metro. Some reports had said it was... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
