Loved our room. There was no noise from outside that could be heard in our room (maybe because we were a couple of floors up) other than the welcome sounds of church bells. The room size was comfortably spacious. We got upgraded to a room with a patio/balcony which had a full unobstructed view of Plaza Catalunya. Amazing! The location... More

The location was excellent and the room were quite stylish. but it wasn't the cleanest hotel i've stayed at. the switches at the room were a bit un-userfriendly. i got the room facing the plaza and it was really loud at night. bed wasn't the most comfortable to sleep in. will choose another hotel next time

Stayed four nights. We had a plaza view room on second floor. The Placa Catalunya is busy and noisy, yet we heard not a sound. Breakfast was pricey (what hotel breakfast isn't) but high quality. Staff was good and pleasant. Room was modern if somewhat plain. The airport bus stops half a block away. You can walk to many of... More

After arriving be metro which I don't usually do I was totally confused as well as my phone dying, no one I asked had any idea where Olivia plaza hotel was. I kept wandering around with suitcase and bags in tow in the heat of the afternoon feeling more frustrated than ever. Eventually I just happened to come across the... More

A very friendly and helpful staff, from the doorman to the receptionist. Very kind and welcoming, they would help you in anything with a big smile. Rooms are vast and comfy and perfect hotel location! The breakfast buffet is tasty but a bit over priced considering the small variety it offers. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much.... More

Olivia is a 'New York' modern hotel. Perfectly situated at the top of La Rambla and overlooking Catalunya Plaza, with the lanes of the old city directly behind. With a number of major streets branching off the Plaza, much is within easy walking. We had a spacious, well appointed room with ceiling-to-floor glass overlooking the Plaza. Staff were extremely pleasant... More

I booked this hotel after I canceled 5 other hotel that had some bad reviews like stealing complaints. So I was very careful in choosing. I came to Olivia Plaza and was checked in immidiatly and my room was upgraded to a suite which was absolute fun. The location is also perfect, right on Plaza Catalunia and La Rambla. The... More

This hotel is in a perfect location, they gave us an upgrade and our room overlooked thePlaza.they also gave us one mornings free breakfast. After travelling for 32 hours we were unpacking in our room when the manager knocked on our door with 2 glasses of champagne. What a terrific welcome to Barcelona. My only complaint would be the toilet/shower combination. Very... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
