The rooms are modern, smart solutions and quiet. The beds and linnen are superb. The breakfast was very nice, and the staff very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. The hotel also have a very nice terrace and a small garden which is perfect for an afternoon cava (very good selections of cava) or a night cap.

As we only had a very short time in Barcelona, we arrived mid-afternoon Sunday 30th December and left early morning flight Tuesday 2nd December, I spent some time researching Hotels before booking. I obviously wanted a central location, plenty of landmarks close-by, a nice contemporary hotel with comfortable rooms spacious enough for my husband, teenage son and I. (Very few... More

We had a fabulous stay in Olivia Plaza Nov 29th-Dec 2nd. The airport bus dropped us off almost outside the front door. Staff were friendly from start to finish and always helpful. Our room had a lovely view over the city, and was very quiet and relaxing. Bus tours left from across the road, and there were so many restaurants... More

My wife and I stayed at the Olivia Plaza Hotel on November 18th as our first stop on our honeymoon Euro trip. On our way to the hotel, our driver told us that it is RIGHT in the middle of EVERYTHING... And he was very right. We never needed to take a taxi as we could walk to all of... More

I enjoyed the view from my room and the breakfast was fantastic. The location was incredible and the staff was well prepared and very courteous. I thought Rebecca was very friendly and knowledgeable. The front desk manager was also very helpful. I will definitely come back.

After reading the many good reviews, chose this hotel while attending a recent convention. Stayed 3 nights from 1-Dec. Extremely glad with my choice for several reasons: 1. Location - This hotel is on and faces Plaza Catalunya, the Touristic heart of Barcelona. Las Ramblas is 2 mins away and all the buses, taxis and hop-on&offs start here. Metro is... More

This 4-Star hotel has rooms without any window !!! And has an unfriendly and incompetent reception staff. We reserved an accessible room two months in advance for a couple of nights and were given, without any indication when we reserved, a room without any window. Just an blocked opaque glass door, which couldn't be opened at all.The rate wasn't cheap... More

cool and quite rooms. Very friendly hotel staff. Excellent breakfast. I would have preferred the sink in a separate place rather then in the room. Otherwise I would be happy to go back. Location is fantastic. Walking to almost everywhere. Enjoyed my stay. Thanks

Location and room conditons are the best for the tourist of Barcelona. Especially location is great. This hotel is more greatful than before I experienced in other cities in Europe. And honeymoon service is also good and suprised for me.

I would agree with the previous reviews that this hotel ticks all the boxes for an excellent stay in central Barcelona. Only two small negative points - the bed was too hard for my wife and I( some would like this) -the eggs for breakfast were pre cooked and therefore only warm or worse. when I asked for fried eggs... Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
