Some kind of hotel in the center if the city. So nice and organized, all staff were helpful, the only thing we did not like is the noise coming from the street in to our room which is in the first floor.

This hotel is in a fantastic location. We took the shuttle bus from the airport and the first stop was at the square outside the hotel. We walked everywhere. The hotel is clean, modern and bright. The hotel gave us a complimentary upgrade and we were very pleased with our room. It was bright, modern and had a small living... More

We stayed at this hotel in early April 2015 for three nights. The hotel is located steps from La Rambla, near Plaça de Catalunya, where you can buy tickets for and board the ho-ho buses. The hotel itself was very clean with good sized rooms (for European standards). We had an inside room, i.e., away from the Plaça, and it... More

We stayed here in March 2015, for 5 nights in a double standard room. The room was clean (apart from dusty shelves) and had view of the Plaza outside. The staff were very nice and friendly, and the breakfast buffet, although fairly costly, was very good! A lot of variety, or savoury and sweet goods! Although we were at the... More

Stayed at Olivia Plaza over the weekend for a spring break. Our room was on the top floor with a complete view over the buzzling Plaza de Catalunya. Enjoyed watching the Saturday night pillow fight and Sunday morning El Corte run mass start from our room (front row seats on the 10th floor)!

The checking in process was very good and the reception staff were excellent and very welcoming. We were very surprised to have a bottle of Fizz on ice with chocolate dipped strawberries waiting for us in the room as a birthday gift from the hotel. Fantastic touch thank you so much it made a great start as we arrived. The... More

Great mid-range hotel with very pleasant and welcoming staff, comfortable and clean rooms and in the heart of the city. Located at the top of La Rambla, less than a mile walk south to the beach. Our room had a great view of Plaza Catalunya across the street and coming out of our room we had a spectacular view of... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
