From the 1st second you arrive you feel it: you are welcome! Friendly service with warm personal touch and charm. Nice interior with Maorish design. Spotlessly clean. Excellent breakfast. Great Barcelona location near everything. All you need from a B&B!

Much better than staying in a hotel, Bonic offers an opportunity to to stay in a local apartment building around locals. Bonic is an extremely high quality b&b, with staff that look after you like you are family. Well located close to train, la rambla, the harbour and the hop on hop off bus, a value for money decision.

Stayed here for a quick three day tour of Barcelona and what a great choice! Very well located close to all the main sights, but in a quiet side street. Very nice room, clean and convenient shared washing facilities, excellent breakfast room with computer available close by. The highlight though are hosts Fernando and Lucia who couldn't have been more... More

Bonic was one of the best places we stayed at in our 6 week European tour. Fernando and his team were extremely friendly, polite, and always there to help with a smile and a cold drink. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the shared bathrooms were not a problem and were always kept immaculate. The location can't be beat... More

I found Bonic on TripAdvisor and wasn't sure whether to believe the good reviews; but I was short of time so just booked it. I'm writing this on the second of my two nights stay there and it's every bit as good as the reviews I read said it would be. From the first email, Fernando, the owner, was helpful,... More

Highly recommend this amazing guesthouse. It is centrally located near the harbour end of La Rambla in close proximity to major sights in Barcelona. The bedroom was comfortable and very quiet. There are 3 bathrooms (which were always kept very clean) that are shared between only a small group of guests. There is also a light and peaceful lounge and... More

I was at Bonic Guest House in August and honestly it is a place to be. It is not just the Location, which is near to the Beach, the Ramblas, Museums at the amazing Brot’s neighborhood and convenience stores in case that you need to purchase some product. It is also the Staffs (Fernando and Lucia), who are highly professional... More

I like staying in B&Bs, when I travel solo, as most of the time it gives you a chance to intermingle with other people, both with the hosts and other travelers. There's a trend in Italy and now France, to serve the breakfast in guest bedrooms or as a help-yourself buffet from a tiny hallway table with no where to... More

It was my first time in Barcelona, so I wasn't quite sure what the best location to stay would be. I choose Bonic as it is quite close to one of the major subway lines and not too far from the sea and some major attractions. And I got way more than what I planned as Bonic just gives you... More

Feranando & Lucia made my first trip to Barcelona so easy & comfortable. Bonic is a gem of style charm and impeccable cleanliness. I just want to gush on & on. They say the devil is in the detail - every little detail here was perfect and relaxed. The added bonus is its location central to everythin. You will not... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
