Spacious and well equipped Rooms, friendly and helpful Service, epic food both at breakfast and lunch! The location of the top bar, at the top of the hotel is astonishing. I can only call out one improvement: the fitness room is below standard, better bikes, weights and more space should added.

I still believe that rooms are too expensive for what they give, but the pool at the top is well worth. Room service is poor, ordered dinner for my daughter and it had not much taste. Main hall is fine. Breakfast ok.

A completely modern and renovated hotel in an older building. Our stay was very nice, the staff was friendly and helpful. The pool area was on the roof and a bit crowded and drinks were expensive, but the view is nice. The location is perfect for Barcelona walking, the location is why we selected the hotel. The room was on... More

Very, very nice breakfast buffet, with excellent food and service--complementary for each night's stay--we arrived early, were able to enjoy it because we also left early. I reserved the room because they offered a king mattress--and they offered a great room, with a mattress a bit wider than a U.S. king. Motorized blinds were able to completely darken the room... We spent hours deciding on a hotel and wanted something really special, we love modern and funky hotels and picked this as it seemed to have it all, including a great location. Things started to go downhill at check in as when pre authorising my credit card, the lady on the desk entered numbers for the room cost where my... More

For our quick 3 Night Stay, I couldn't think of a better Barcelona location than 30 Via Laietana. Gothic Quarter to the right, Born to the left either way you go, you find a narrow alleyway, connected to a series of smaller alleyways all lined with Bars, Restaurants and Boutiques. The staff is very polite and friendly. Our room was... More

Friendly & welcoming staff. The rooms are comfortable. They have black out blinds! In the afternoon bottles of water & chocolates are delivered. The breakfast was great with a variety of food. The infinity pool is best experienced in the morning when it's less crowded. It's busy in the afternoon.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff. Rooms well equipped, would recommend the 7th floor. The only negative would be the food and drink menu on the expensive side - but that is usually expected from a hotel. Will stay again.

This property is a completely renovated intermediate five star which sits on the border of "boutique" description, but is just a little too big for that name. Service from the combination reception and concierge is solicitous and familiar without being unctuous. The rooms are large and thoughtfully laid out. Without question, the property's rooftop bar and pool stands out as... More

View out of the window bit ordinary but location (close to cathedral and shops), cleanliness of rooms and public areas, great breakfasts and dinners AND absolutely great, very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff made our stay the best (or very close to) of ANY hotel in any city we have been to!

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
