Basic and good value. Friendly staff. Excellent food in the adjoining hotel cafe. We arrived about midday and stayed for only one night, so spent most of our time walking in the area. There were two quite nice shopping malls which we visited, they were approximately 15 minutes walk from the hotel.

The staff were both friendly and helpful. The hotel is located just 5 minutes from the blue-line metro station Hospital Clinic and a 15 walk from The Rambles. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes surrounding the hotel which are open until late. The hotel was always kept clean - I stayed on the 2nd floor and the room... More

Very simple hotel, i liked it so much. The staff is very nice and the room small (perhaps we were only two) but comfortable. There's the metro near the hotel and it's only 15 minutes on foot far from the Rambla! It is a little bit noisy but you can relax without problems. Good price and good place for a... More

Nice location and easy access to transport for a city trip in Barcelona. Recommended for short few day trips since the value for money is good for the location but the rooms almost lack soundproof and the street is just in front! Quality pillows as the ones we had were very uncomfortable to make a good sleep after hours of... More

We' ve just spent a couple of nights there, and that's what we think: - very good location, 5-minute walk to the metro, cheap coffee shops and other restaurants around the building - room cleaned everyday - very good price - quality ratio - very noisy, especially over night, make sure you get a quiet room - no extra blankets... Stayed there with a friend for 2 nights. We requested 2 single beds but were given a double bed on arrival and had to change rooms the next day which was a pain. The hotel is in a great location, close to the centre but the rooms are very tired and poorly equipped. Our air con didn't work and the... More

My wife and I stayed here just recently and the hotel was in a great location. There are several restaurants nearby and a gas station that's open 24hrs located right across the street. The rooms are small which is normal for Europe. One major downside was that the room didn't have a mini fridge or a wall safe. Other than... More

The room was very large (#44) on the fourth floor. A nice desk with two chairs was along the wall with windows overlooking the street. The bed was firm, but I slept well. If you are higher up along the busy street, it isn't a big deal. If I had to pick the best part, it was the breakfast (I... More

After my folks moved from Barcelona,to Santander,I would have to get a hotel for the day I arrived in Spain and the day before I would fly back to the USA. This was in the neighborhood I lived in,right across from the industrial school. I find the neighborhood safe, but as always in any big city use your head. The room... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
