The staff was extremely nice and the bathrooms and bedrooms were all very neat! I stayed in a dorm, which I was a little hesitant about, but it was very private and comfortable. Hostel has good facilities with a nice lounge area and kitchen.

My partner and I stayed here as a 'hotel', not as a 'hostel' therefore we weren't interested in meeting other people or socialising so the fact that there wasn't a huge amount of entertainment and socialising in the hotel was a huge positive for us! If you are a solo traveler or looking to make friends, I wouldn't suggest this... More

Nice enough hostel and clean but the dorm rooms are separated from the rest of the hostel with a separate kitchen and social area which means if it's quiet, you don't get to meet many others in the hostel. Maybe it was just a slow week but I found it very antisocial. The staff were friendly and the room was... More

Very clean both the room and the bathrooms, comfortable beds and a nice terrace to sit out and enjoy a beer. Good wifi connection throughout and overall good value for money along with a friendly staff.

I thought the Paraiso Hostel in Barcelona was absolutely fantastic - so impressed. We only paid €5 or so a night which is extremely cheap but the value for money was excellent also. The whole place was clean, the showers were nice and hot and the communal kitchen/ living spaces were fab. I also thought the staff were friendly and... More

Stayed here November. Great price, friendly staff, extremely clean! The bathroom is almost always fresh and smell good. Great location, close to the metro and airport too. Only 2 stations away from Placa Catalunya.

I stayed 2 nights. 【GOOD】 Very near from metro station ,only 1 block & from airport bus station,5 blocks. A lot of restaurants are around the hostel. All of the staffs were friendly. Enough bath rooms & toilets. 【BAD】 Thin wall like a paper!!!!! I could listen everything what happened out... More

My best friend and I stayed in this hostel for the first leg of our 2 week Euro tour. We stayed here for 4 nights and had a perfectly fine experience. Our room was very narrow, but had enough space for two 20-somethings and all of our overpacking. There was only one electrical outlet in the room, but we made... More

Spent 3 nights in hostel paraiso with my partner and was surprised with how big the room was as well as being able to have a balcony overlooking the rear. Everything seemed to be clean and the location was great for getting to places. For the price I don't think you could get better value for money. Only problem we... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
