This is a long one but hear me out as it addresses a lot of the concerns I had before coming here, so may help you. I booked our stay in June for the end of October. We were staying three nights on a budget and I was travelling with my 17 year old daughter. I did lots of research... More

PLEASE READ! Me and my friend decided to take a room, because of the pictures, good price and location. At night we were walking almost an hour back and forth to find it cause there wasn't any sigin where it is...we were tired, after midnight and what we saw was horrible. NOTHING LIKE on the pictures. It was hot there,... More

This was not a cheap apartment, and the photos are nothing bto go by. If I could have afforded to move to another hotel I would have. Like many people I imagine that they save and look forward to their holiday. So I would have had to use all my spending money to change. The room was a box with... More

We stayed here after being at Benicassim festival, so other users comments about the beds not being great wouldn't chime with us having slept on camping mats on a hard floor in a hot tent for the previous week. This also meant that the air con/ fan was very much appreciated given how hot sightseeing can be in Barcelona. Granted,... More

The pictures of this hostel look really great, but the hostel is not as modern and clean as the pictures suggest. What was really good about this hostel was the location. It took you 15 minutes to go to the beach and the Ramblas was only 5 minutes away. However, our room was REALLY small. 2mx3,5m I'm guessing. A bed... More

At arrival (we had announced our arrival time in a mail, we were not sure we had reached the right place - nothing indicates that a hotel is located at the adress) we only got inside when another resident in the building came home. A bit of a shock to see our so called superior room in real life, it... More

Flat with shared living room to meet others ! Nice room :) nice breakfast! And really cheap! You get large towel, you can ask for hair dryer and everything you need. I have been for four days, and it's been very nice!

We just finished our stay here and it was great. The location is fantastic! The rooms are clean and the shared bath we used was cleaned multiple times a day (although it would be nice if they were slightly bigger and had hand towels). The owner was very nice and helpful, letting us leave our luggage for the day we... More

The strong advantage of this hotel is that it is centrally located, other than this, I can't find anything else positive. Even the central location can become a disadvantage during the night because of the loud noise in the street (AVOID if you are a light sleeper). I am not the kind who complains about everything, and I have stayed... More

The hotel is placed in a very nice neighborhood. The hotel is very minimalistic, there is what you neeed and nothing more. Me and my friend stayed in a small room with shared toilet and bath. The hotel was nice and clean. In the price is breakfast included nothing special but there is the most essential, cereals, bread coffee and... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
