Julie & Edna. Bolton Lancs....My mother & I visited this hotel knowing that it was located outside Barcelona & with a view to travelling 'in', but we didnt realise how far 'out' it was , & how expensive the taxis would be,(our taxi driver got completely lost!! consequently a dearer ride!). The hotel itself is very nice & the rooms... more

Booked the Barcelo Montserrat Hotel through Superbreak.com for £256 for a four night stay in a double room with breakfast. The first thing to say is that you have to have a car to stay here. If you don't then don't consider it - the nearest town is Martorell - which is quite industrial and about a 10-15 minute taxi... more

This is a very up-market hotel with good sized rooms with quality fittings and tiled floors. Excellent restaurant - huge breakfast buffet for 12 Euros and brilliant 4-course dinner menu for 25 Euros. Stunning views over golf course and surrounding hilly countryside. It was very quiet in all senses. Mostly French and Spanish guests, some English. Pool and lawn area... more

Originally we were looking for a hotel in Barcelona but a world congress had block booked most of the hotel rooms. This problem meant we had to look outside the city for accommodation - but this turned into an advantage when we spotted this hotel. We booked the hotel at a total cost of £400 for 4 nights - 2... more

This hotel was very clean, and the reception were very helpful with any queries we had. There are some positives, such as the spa, and pool and just the general cleaniless. The downsides are it costs 55 euros to the town centre and many taxis in the town centre did not know where to go. We were lucky, that we... more

Stayed here for 5 nights in July, after picking up a great deal on the internet (also 5 nights for price of 4). We knew the hotel was out of the way, and were quite happy with that. We hired a car and were able to see something different in the region every day (Barcelona, the mountains, the wineries, the... more

Our holiday here was spoiled by the fact that despite how this hotel is advertised it is totally inaccessable by public transport. We did not have a car but booked for 4 nights thinking we could use the local train station to explore Barcelona and surrouding areas = THIS IS NOT THE CASE. Taxis cost up to 20 Euro to... more

And seriously at first we doubted it- But the girls at this hotel, and the girls that work @ this hotel are amazing!- We found the accomodations perfect, the food is great Great buffet,... more

Stayed for 4 nights before taking a cruise from Barcelona. Please note this hotel is quite difficult to find and is secluded area-EXACTLY what we wanted but not for everyone. Rooms are first class with great contemporary decor and huge bathroom/dressing areas. Pool area was great too and always quiet. Golf available (except mondays) though expensive at 100 euros a... more

I stayed in this hotel over the Formula 1 grand prix weekend as everything in downtown Barcelona was full. The setting is absolutely stunning with the rooms having a view over the mountains. It is a long way out of the city and you don't want to be stuck here without a car as you will never get a taxi... more
