So often, the word ‘minimalist’ applied to a hotel means ‘cold, Spartan and unwelcoming’. Not here! This must be the friendliest hotel in town, with charming, informative staff who are anxious to give you a truly memorable stay. The bedrooms are designed purely with comfort in mind – the beds are top class, the walk-in shower is efficient and versatile... More

Four excellent nights in March 2015. Location is perfect. Staff is incredible, accommodations equally so. Terrific showers. Breakfast cook and staff very friendly and attentive. Attention to details, from architectural design to snack area all very well accomplished.

From the effusive welcome to the amazing egg chef, everything human and most things designed work really well.Downsides are the separation of the bedroom from one's lounge by a general corridor. This creates too much slamming of doors during the evening/night as neighbours criss cross the corridor.Apparently, "no corridor " rooms will be available soon and would be worth going for..Equally there... I'll keep it simple - there is no downside. Rooms, service, food, location - excellent! Close enough to La Ramblas (just down a little side street) for the full immersion experience, while far enough away to avoid the noise of night time street life. With Gaudi's spectacular, quirky architecture at every turn, Barcelona is divine and Casa Camper makes the... More

Not wonder of the high ranking in TA, this hotel delivers. Highest standards of cleanliness, uber-comfortable beds, beautiful design, 24hours food and beverage service plus a great location, central but quiet, 5 minutes by foot from Las Ramblas. Will not hesitate in coming back

We stayed for four nights in March of 2015. The room was eclectic, spacious and fun! The staff were all wonderful and the new Billard room was a perfect way to unwind after a day spent touring the city. The included breakfast was very good, as were the 24 hour snacks.

Just came back after a 4 nights trip with my wife. That small hotel is really amazing, everything was perfect: from the staff attention, the breakfast, the included snack area , the nice mini lounge, the spacious shower, the great location, the restaurants recommendation etc' I can't recommend enough that hotel, if you have the occasion to be in Barcelona... As a business traveler who logs about 110 nights a year on the road in U.S and around the world I am a pretty good judge of hotels for both business and family trips. Stumbled upon Casa Camper during a large business conference in Barcelona, and there were few hotel options. Quite simply this is a fabulous 4 star boutique... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
