Stayed in Barcelona one week centrally location were you can reach a lot of sight seeing activities nearby - rent a bike, by feet Ramblas close but still a calm place to relax. Breakfast very nice and more continental than Spanish. Friendly staff is checking everything and a highlight is the Hängematte in the second room - enjoy Barcelona

My significant other and I stayed two nights at this quaint establishment in May, 2014, located less than five minutes by foot from La Rambla, and a few minutes more to Placa Catalunya and excellent tappas bars, and subway stations. Similar accommodations, in the US, if any can be found, would cost significantly more. These accommodations included a lavish breakfast... More

We loved our 1 night stay at the hotel. The rooms are spacious and the beds and showers top notch! The breakfast was full of choices! The staff were so helpful and assisted us even before we arrived by booking a stunning restaurant for us and answering all our questions. Georgina is just wonderful. Her sence of humour is refreshing.... More

Wow. I've stayed at several luxury hotels in the past and although Casa Camper is not a luxury hotel, it was my best hotel experience ever. First, the customer service is fantastic from your first greeting at the desk all the way through check-out. The location is perfect, easy walking distance to restaurants, sightseeing, shopping, tour buses, the metro, etc.... More

As other reviewers found, this was a perfect place to stay in Barcelona. It is located about 50 yards off the busiest and famous street in Barcelona (La Ramba) and walking distance to many important sights. Everything is designed to make you relax and do things without much effort. Staffs are exceedingly nice and helpful. They don't have their own... More

Great location. Walking distance to major sights but on a quiet street. The concept of self service and honor bar is a dream come true. Thoughtful. The suite was modern and cleverly appointed. Even had a hammock for relaxing! But the low key atmosphere and roof deck with self serve bar and delicious breakfast and snacks available 24 hours was... More

What a wonderful experience. We arrived mid-morning after a long flight and were warmly welcomed by the staff the moment we stepped into the lobby. After being shown round and introduced to the staff we were shown to our fantastic corner suite on the B side of the hotel. A beautifully large room (above average size for a city room)... More

Private sitting room, honesty terrace bar, free snack bar and great breakfast together with very nice and helpful staff – all included in the rate! Right in the heart of Barcelona, within walking distance of every part of tourist Barcelona. Nearby Metro and tourist buses take you to those parts that your walking legs cannot reach! No car park, but... More

Others have said it all: 1) great rooms (surprisingly quiet!), 2) good breakfast (freshly prepared), 3) handy free snacks and light meals We also had a great dinner at "dos paillos" (one michelin star, asian).

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
