Last August, my wife and I stayed at the Casa Camper in Barcelona. I could have moved into that place. The room had a hammock. A hammock!! You could lay in your hammock, open the doors to your balcony, and drink drinks and eat free snacks from down stairs while you look out at the view of the city. Staying... More

The staff were so helpful in everything from helping us book tours, to generally getting around, and even letting us take their food and drinks for the day. A fabulous way to start a vacation. And so close to everything but it felt off the beaten path. A hidden gem. We only hope we can return or turn others on... More

It's been a while since we stayed there but I thought I'd say how nice it was. The staff were so helpful in everything from helping us book tours, to generally getting around, and even letting us take their food and drinks for the day.As for their food, there was always something worth nibbling on, or even a decent meal... Great boutique hotel in the middle of everything you want to see in Barcelona. Rooms design is funky and fun. We had an end suite which meant our hammock room and bedroom are attached (otherwise they are across the hall), try to get one! Loved the place

I stayed at Casa back in March of last year and it was what I was hoping for in regards to a hotel for my first Spain visit. I had two living quarters and the service and employees were top notch. I wanted a private intimate hotel and that is what Casa was to me. It's in an alley way... More

It's been a while since we stayed there but I thought I'd say how nice it was in June 2013 (I know my date doesn't say that). The staff were so helpful in everything from helping us book tours, to generally getting around, and even letting us take their food and drinks for the day. As for their food, there... More

Stayed only one night on the front end of a 10 day tour but wished we could have extended. Got in early and room was ready so we could stash our gear and head out for a full day. Room (or should I say "rooms") were hip, stylish, and very functional. Who designed the green view? Wow! What a fabulous... More

I recommend this place to anyone who mentions they're thinking of traveling to Spain. Excellent location right on La Rambla and the front desk was amazing as far as pointing out things to do and restaurants to try. When I mentioned I wanted to take beach day they steered me away from the main beach and Barcelona and told me... More

This hotel is a treasure of a find in Barcelona. It was a bit tricky to locate the first time, but beyond that it exceeded our expectations. Free drinks and snacks 24/7 were a lovely amenity! The staff were incredibly helpful and gave us excellent recommendations. The hotel is situated very close to Las Ramblas and other cool areas that... More

We were a group of four staying in this hotel for three nights. We absolutely loved it. The staff here is amazing. They have wonderful English, which is helpful because none of us had much Spanish. I believe they found the nicest people in Barcelona and gave them jobs at this hotel. And these folks are always here. You don't... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
