The location of this hotel is very close to Las Ramblas (only 5 min to walk), which is good, but doors to the hotel are always closed and are open only by maintaining visual contact with a receptionist. This is kind of an indicator how safe the location of the hotel is. Rooms are incredibly small, so you can barely... more

Quiet, clean, in a good spot, nice service, wireless internet, decent price. Room a bit sparse but no problems with staying here. more

Very poor customer service by staff members. We checked into a tiny, dark, room. Lights over bed didnt work. The shower temperature changed every few seconds. I liked the location of this hotel, but that was all I liked about it. more

We booked this hotel on hotwire and then found out that the Raval is a "seedy" section of town. I was really stressed, but when I got here, the place was sooooo great, I began to relax. I asked the desk person about safety and she said there should be no real concern, and she was right. I even walked... more

The Hotel is close to Las ramblas and La Ravel. La Ravel is a more seedier side of Barcelona. If you want a minimalist room and fair service, this is it. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. Try to get a room on the upper floors due to latenight revelers walking by more

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights in March. I had emailed the hotel direct a few days beforehand to let them know that we would be checking in late due to flight times etc and not only were they extremely prompt in responding but they also sent maps and other information not only about how to get... more

First impressions of this hotel were excellent. Very high standard 3 star hotel in good location with easy access to the metro. However, the service at this hotel is severely lacking. We booked a double room through easytobook.com for Valentine's weekend. We entered our room to discover two single beds instead of a double. When I complained I was told... more

I knew that staying at a 3-star hotel would not put me at the Ritz, but this place was a dump, complete with feces and vomit on the front sidewalk and a man hitting a woman with a bottle while their dogs fought just around the corner. The heater in our room never worked the entire time we were there,... more

We spent a night in the Hesperia del Port in Barcelona. The hotel is located very close to the Ramblas, perfect for visiting the town. The area is ok, but follow the recommendations of the hotel to reach the town center. The hotel is nice and clean, the room was good, better than what we expected from a 3 stars;... more

Hesperia is a great value hotel especially if you're booking on the weekend (cheaper than anything else I could find around the city center). They have wireless internet, located on Avenguda Parallel which is a 10 minute walk to the Christopher Columbus Statue at the bottom of La Rambla. Breakfast was overpriced so we didn't get it but otherwise we... more
