We came here for our honeymoon the staff not only upgraded our room to a massive spacious suite but they also went out of their way to help us book tickets to a barcelona game even getting us a discount on the tickets. All staff always had smiles on their faces and the hotel is located in great location in... More

This serene and well run hotel is just 50 paces from the Metro and two minutes from Plaça Catalunya where the airport bus terminates. Around the hotel are numerous cafés, bars and restaurants and many important tourist attractions such as Gaudi's Casa Batllo are within easy walking distance. Although the city of Barcelona is a busy often hectic place, this... More

This hotel featured on an Expedia flash sale. Turned out to be great value . Well positioned , modern and clean . Reasonable bar prices . Friendly knowledgeable staff . Like others I noticed the drain smell on occasions - not just confined to the hotel but elsewhere in the city . Never tried the food in the hotel. Lots... More

Visited Barcelona for a week in May 2014 and chose to stay in Vincci Gala after reading the reviews and was not disappointed. The hotel is situated fairly close to Las Ramblas which makes it ideal and is also close to public transport links. The hotel itself is modern and clean. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The staff... More

I am struggling to come up with anything negative about this hotel. perhaps the drinks in the bar were a tad pricey. Very stylish, boutique type hotel. Spotlessly clean, rooms brilliant and well soundproofed. It's right next to a metro and is ideally placed for the top of La Rambla. When I return to Barcelona I would think of going... More

I stayed at this hotel based on its location (very close to Plaza Catalunya, where the Aerobus stops, next to the Ramblas, also at a very reasonable walking distance from the Gothic District). Found it very clean, comfortable and with a fantastic front desk service. Would recommend it and certainly would return whenever I stop by Barcelona.

Stayed here for 4 nights in February. Was given a lovely, very clean and spacious room on the top floor at the back, with a balcony and great views towards the sea and Monjuic. Very quiet and a comfortable bed which meant an excelent night's sleep. The welcome was friendly and the staff generally helpful. The only problem was that,... More

Excellent hotel both in terms of location and quality. Rooms are excellent for both business or a holiday and finished to a high standard. Only complaints would be that during my stay there was a very strong smell in the lift and corridor which was somewhat unpleasant. The air conditioning was also temperamental and as a result the room was... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
