I will not call an hotel....maybe a hostel will be the right word. The location is the best , near Plaza Cataluña and the Ramblas, next to the hotel you have the metro, for a girl who is traveling alone, is a very good location. The rooms are basics but most important clean with private and nice bathroom, mine does... more

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night prior to a cruise. For the price, we were very satisfied with the hotel. The room was clean, and we requested one at the front of the hotel on a high floor (we read reviews that said rooms in the rear were dark and ones near the street were noisy). It... more

in a great location. This was my first trip to Barcelona so I was a little anxious, especially having read a few dubious reviews on here! But it was recommended to me and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Our room was at the back of the Hotel (but away from lift) and I was glad of... more

This was in ideal location. 4/5 minute walk from Las Ramblas therefore not as noisy and hectic as those located on main street. Rooms basic but clean. Bathroom good with warm shower, clean towels every day and decent hair dryer. Safe in room which was 30 Euro, returned at end of your trip. We used the hotel as a base... more

My husband & I stayed at Hotel Marvi for 2 nights in Oct 08 with another couple. Fantastic location within 5 mins walk of Las Ramblas. Flew in with Ryan Air to Girona & found the bus transfer to Barcelona very easy. It took an hour which was ok but if we could have flown into Barcelona it would have... more

After a cruise we had a one night stay in Barcelona, so our travel agency booked this hotel for us. It was seriously a nightmare. We didnt sleep at all, it was freezing cold and we got a really smelly room. We had to sleep with jackets!!!!! The bathroom had a really strong sewer smell, that went to the whole... more

My husband and I stayed here on New Years Day for 3 nights. The hotel is a short walk away from Plaza Catalunya. When we got there I was a bit surprised as there is a tobacconists in the entrance to the hotel. If the tobacconists are closed then you have to buzz to be let in. Don't let this... more

We stayed at Hotel Marvi mid-December 2008, and found it to be a real gem. It is perfect for tourists who are out all day, and need a comfy place to sleep at night. It may not be for you if you are looking for a full service luxury hotel. There is a tobacco shop on the ground floor. The... more

The best part about Hotel Marvi is its location. It's 5 min from Placa Catalunya (the last stop of the Airport Shuttle that runs every 6 min) and the Ramblas. The hotel lobby is actually on the first floor, after going past a ground floor hallway with tobacco shop and up some stairs. In the evenings, when the tobacco shop... more

Great location, 5 minute walk to la Rambla and to the main square where all the tourist buses start. Felt very safe there. Friendly reception staff. Clean room. We got breakfast included which was just a croissant & bread plus drinks but did us fine to get us started for the day. Would recommend. more
