Stayed at Marvi for 3 nights in September. Location is excellent with walking distance to most things. We even walked to La Sagrada and the park at the top of the hill. Moved there from a hostel which was very noisy, badly run and expensive, and we were able to check in early. Have read not so good reviews about... More

This small hotel was well situated in the centre of the City ( 5 minute walk from Catalunya Square) ). and offered a very warm welcome. Breakfast was optional and at 3 euro's was really good value and very enjoyable no bacon and eggs lol but nevertheless a good selection to get you going for the day. There is a... More

Me and my wife stayed at Marvi during our three night trip to Barcelona and we really enjoyed our stay. Hotel is perfectly located on the corner of Placa Universitat, right in front of metro station, and across the street from the airport shuttle bus stop. A short walk to Placa Catalunya and Ramblas, walking distance to the Cathedral, Barceloneta... More

This hotel is centrally located opposite to the universitat Metro and five minutes walk from catalonia plaza and Las Ramblas. Standard hotel. Breakfast is very limited. The counter people were not showing eagerness to guide the visitor.

I stayed at hotel Marvi for one night while traveling through Barcelona. The hotel location is excellent (a 5 minute walk from Catalunya Square and to the stop for the airport express bus). The wifi is excellent and the hotel staff is very kind and helpful The hotel was very reasonably priced. The only negative was that the room size... More

Excellent position, friendly staff, poor breakfast. The wall between the rooms is extremely thin so you can hear every word/sound of your neighbours. There is Metro in the front of the hotel, L1 from Espanya place where metropolitan bus (46) stops. Bus 46 is driving from El Prat.

The hotel is between two squares: University and Catalonia. It`s a perfect position to get from the airport (the stop is just opposit the hotel at the University square) and quite convenient to get to the airport ( at Catalonia square). The stuff is friendly and ready to print the transport connection you need. The view from the room on... More

It has a great location ,metro is in front of the hotel , a few steps to Catalunya . The breakfast does not have many choices but with the price it is acceptable , cannot ask too much for that price in Europe

Stayed for 4 nights with a friend and found this hotel to be very comfortable and pleasant. The room was clean, modern and light with good air-con, a nice en-suite and toiletries. The wi-fi was fairly good although signal strength was a bit weak in our room. We asked for a quiet room at the back and slept well. The... More

Location is great, very close to main attractions La Rambla, Plaza Catalunya. Hotel is clean and nice. Big room and bathroom. Wi-Fi worked very good. Guys at the reception are very helpful. I had the room to the inner yard so it was quite, sleep quality was very good after long day of walking. Though i heard that rooms facing... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
