Centrally located adjacent to the famous Rambla which is a major plus for this venue. Some of the staff at the front desk are very helpful and friendly. Our room was big enough with spacious closets. Our reception at 6pm on a weekday could hardly have been less auspicious. The front desk was unmanned and, despite wandering around several floors, we succeeded in rousing not a single living soul. Barcelona is an interesting place to visit, with much history, but also very touristy. Prices are hyped up due to this, but with enough searching good deals can be found. Hotel Aneto is in a good location just off of Las Ramblas and within walking distance of pretty much everything. more

This hotel is in an excellent location - a side street off The Rambles. The stairways look a bit dingy but get past this and the corridors are clean and bright. Stayed here with a friend in Sept 2007. Had a top floor room which is fine as they have worlds tiniest lift but means you don't have to carry the bags up the stairs. Room was a decent size and looked out onto the street overlooking the park. Bathrooms are smallish - had a bath but it was about halfsized.... more
