We stayed in Hostal Central Barcelona for 3 nights, the bed and the room were comfortable, however, there was no television. But there was excellent Wi-Fi reception in the room. Only things we did not like were the breakfast and the shower. The shower curtain used in the hotel was fairly small, and because of that the whole floor of... More

Very good location, staff very helpful and friendly, give me tips and map about the city. Room was small, but cosy with bathroom inside, and little balcony. Was clean, quiet. I would recommended it. Prices are ok as well

We booked the suite triple room which should have bathroom inside, when we check-in they gave us a double room with toilet, however we are 3 persons we can't stay in a double room, later on they brought us a triple room but the bathroom is at the corridor! the photo on hotels.com is misleading, and they didn't give any... We stayed here for three nights arriving at midnight and leaving at 3am! The staff were lovely, really kind and helpful and the place itself was clean and tidy. It's a beautiful building handy for the metro and the main sights. It was so nice to have a little balcony on our room. Simple but clean. Would definitely stay here... More

Horrible staff, they were truly awful and a very uncomfortable bed which should have been replaced years ago. The Italian male receptionist was incredibly rude all the time, he made the stay at this hostel very uncomfortable and undesirable.

We spent two nights in Barcelona. The Hostal is centrally located and you can reach many attractions by foot easily. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The price was good and the room was clean.

We stayed here in June, 2013 (sorry I'm late!!!). It's a cute little hotel very well located. Just renovated, the rooms are really small (almost like cruise cabins) but everything is new and very clean. The bathrooms are ok (tight shower), and you have wifi and a very polite front desk willing to help you in anything you need. It's... More

The only thing this hostel is really near is the Sagrada. The area is very nice and felt safe but in order to get to any of the sites, you will be taking multiple metro lines, buses, or cabs, and better be good with directions (which luckily we are). That being said, the staff here was so nice and helpful... More

I thought this was a usual backpackers dive but was pleasantly surprised at the at the maintenance. It was kept clean always - even the shared bathroom. There was a good supply of towels. The 2 ladies, Amanda & Monica, who manage the place were very helpful & guiding you around the city. It was nice and quiet, perhaps because... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
