An old hotel on the 2nd floor in a neglected residential building. The corridor is in a U-form, and the 'office' is in the middle. You can hear in every room every phone call, all the rings from guests at the intercom, the loud discussions of the staff day and night and it's impossible to sleep. A real nightmare. They... More

Dear customer, First of all, we give thanks for expressing your opinion in this medium. We regret that the hotel was not to your expectations. It is a simple 1-star hotel renovated 1 year ago. We take note of your comments in order to improve. Best regards Elia Buen More

Stayed for a week with my three friends. We had two twin rooms which luckily had windows (I'd read earlier that some rooms didn't). I was really impressed, the rooms are cleaned every day with fresh towels and clean sheets. The rooms themselves are a decent size, and quite old but that was to be expected with how old the... Its on a floor with many other rooms. Rooms are really small with old furniture. Window is decorative since it looks to a wall and no light comes in. We stayed right opposite the door and the intercom which sounded too loud, was buzzing all night long because people wanted to get into the hotel. Stuff doesn't speak English but... More

Stayed in the hotel in early November 2013. The hotel is 3 minutes walk away from Gothic district (Cathedral, Picasso Museum) and harbor...the beach is another 5 minutes walking distance. This much the positive side... no sign of the hotel on the building, it is easier to get to Santa Marta hotel (where, by the way the breakfast is served)... More

Stayed here for 3 nights beginning of Oct 2013. Got the Aerobus from the airport - 1 every 10 minutes, 5.90 single or 10.20 euro return each, then underground line 4 into Gothic area for 2 euro, one way, each. Hotel difficult to find as in a back street - even the local restaurant owners had never heard of it!... More

Set in a great location this hotel had loads of potential. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, however the room we had was not in a good location- right near the font door so the door bell kept us awake all night. The room was tiny and the shower head was broken. The air conditioner was so loud we... More

For half the price for the area you stay in, this hotel is perfect. Of course it's dated, the staff don't speak English, no wifi, no hairdryer however rooms are clean and cleaned every day with fresh towels. Staff are friendly and try to understand you! It's staffed 24 hours a day as you need to press the buzzer to... More

Please don't go to this hotel. It is dark and gloomy , the air con doesn't work in the rooms. The are hot and stuffy. The veranda makes you feels nervous when standing on them. There's so much I could into but won't just don't go here. Me and my partner stayed 1 night and then transferred to another hotel... More

Visited the hotel Lyon in July for 7 nights. At first we were in two minds after reading some pretty awful reviews but settled at its price and location. Finding the hotel was slightly tricky being the second floor of an ambiguous block of flats. You simply buzz the hotel buzzer and they open the door for you, and there... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
