As a first time visitor to Barcelona, location was my top priority in choosing a hotel and cleanliness was my second consideration. Onix Rambla Hotel met my both requirements. It is close to public transport, metro station just steps away, and within walking distance to many tourist attractions. There're also many eateries around. We had a great time exploring the... We were looking for something with good location and value for money, yet clean with a touch of class too. So surfing trip advisor we found it by accident, reading reviews. Arriving very early (at dawn) we were delighted that the ever helpful David at reception, was more than happy to store our baggage for us till we could check... More

I was there for 4 nights with my family since 17th December'2014 to 21st December'2014. I liked their service too much. Cleaned, staffs are very helpful, and great location. I liked personal locker at each room. Only one thing the breakfast would have better option there were very limited variety.

Stayed for 2 nights as a break from Salou in September based on location. Previously stayed near Barcelona Sants, which was excellent hotel but away from the centre. Onix Rambla is a small hotel just a block away from the Place de Catalunya making it an ideal base from expoloring the city. On arrival was able to check in suitcases... More

Lovely clean and spacious room in a great location close to Placa Catalunya in an area full of bars and restaurants. It is also just a few minutes walk to the Ramblas and to some of Gaudi's architectural works.I have stayed here before and would definitely come back.My one very minor criticism is lack of choice at breakfast.

Let me deal with the positive aspects of this hotel. It is perfectly situated with plenty of restaurants nearby, close to city bus tour stops and close to a large shopping complex. The hotel is very clean. When I booked this hotel I requested gluten free bread/crackers for my wife's breakfasts as she has coeliac disease. I telephoned the hotel... More

The hotel is perfect if you are looking for a city break, it's central location means everything is within walking distance or short taxi ride. The hotel itself is very clean and well kept, the rooms / bathrooms are well presented. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I would most definitely recommend this hotel.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
