I got a good deal on one of their individual rooms. And the room itself was very tiny!! My suitcase was pretty much between the bed and bathroom door; no other space available. There was also a small window, but no view. That said, I loved the hotel. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. And I thought the... More

My single occupancy chamber was booked from home by a travel agent, otherwise I would have noticed ending up in the hostal's smallest abode. More or less twice the size of the spacious bed, the room sported a high ceiling with narrowish window. I would opt for a larger room next time, not truly feeling at home with Bag End... More

We stayed here before we started a 12 day Mediterranean cruise. Our room was clean and comfortable especially after a transatlantic flight. The only downfall about the hotel was there is not an elevator. We had a ton of luggage that the desk clerk cheerfully helped lug up the stairs. Every employee we encountered spoke English and was helpful and... More

Dear guest Thank you very much for your comment. Is a very big pleasure for us to know that you enjoyed your stay with us, and all the staff is very glad for your opinion about us. As you could see, we are located in an historical building, and for this reason we cannot have an elevator. Nevertheless, is always... More

Dear guest Thank you very much for your comment. All the staff works very hard to make every guest's experience unforgetable. About the beds, all of them are new (we opened a year and a half ago) but we will have in consideration your words and we will change all the beds that are not in perfect condition. Best regards,... Great location for us because it's between Born and Barceloneta, two of our favourite areas of BCN. Handy for the post office and Estació França (railway station), just one change of trains at Passeig de Gracia Station and you're at the Aeroport. Room was spotless. Staff were available but not intrusive. Could leave bags there after checking out. Reasonable price.

The location is ideal as it is close to public transport stations and there are lots of restaurants and bars in the area. The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It is great fir a weekend getaway. We will definitely stay there again.

This place is absolutely recommendable. The area Born is great and not as crowded as the gothic area...though everything is in walking distance. It's newly renovated with bright big rooms.Comfortable bed.Liked it a lot and would go anytime again.

I booked a street facing family room (it was the only one available) at guest house Som Nit Born. Lovely staff, lovely room, comfy bed, fast WI-FI and simply excellent location, close to the beach, and right in the city.

Unfortunately we were only for one night in Barcelona but we had two full days in this beautiful city. We know the city well and it was just a short break to relax, but we enjoyed the hotel Som Nit Born a lot. We met a few different receptionists and they were all very friendly and helpfull. Room was clean... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
