Won a room on Priceline. Hotel had no a/c. Front desk said it was a seasonal decision: heat during the cold weather and a/c during the warm weather. They said it would be turned on during our stay but it never was. Their advice: open a window. When both Priceline and the hotel website say every room has a/c, the... More

Hotel is a bit off the beaten path and a 20 minute walk to the shopping/dining street but is quiet and friendly. Good breakfast in the morning and very helpful front desk. We visited in March and the restaurant was only open for breakfast otherwise you called room service for food. Not much in the way of good restaurants nearby... More

We travelled to Barcelona for my husbands 40th Birthday for a weekend trip including a football match at Camp Nou. Amazing ground. The Hotel location was walking distance to bus routes and easily found all the attractions. Lovely hotel and great staff. Would love to go back.

The rooms are built around an opening to the ground floor and each floor of 10 rooms features a different artist...the rooms are decorated with that artist's work...well done. Comfortable bed, and good service...an electric tea kettle in the room which was nice...good tea...and availability of ice in the first floor restaurant. They serve breakfast and also do room service.... More

Thank you very much for your comments, has captured the essence of the hotel, it's like sleeping with the artist who has decorated each of the floors of the hotel. We look forward for Barcelona or one of our more than 160 hotels SERCOTEL. More

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel. We were really impressed with the cleanliness of the room. We booked a standard room and did consider upgrading but really didn't need anything more than this room offered. It was really spacious with a king sized bed and a full-sized bath. The staff were very helpful and... More

Hotel is great, stylish, clean, compact and with excellent staff. It has everything you would expect of a 4 star hotel with free roomsafe and smart tv a nice bonus. The hotel design and small number of smart modern rooms on each floor means they are all near the lift and very easy to find. When the weather is a... More

Hotel decor is lovely, very stylish and different. Location was great about 15mins walk from Las Rambles and good location for sightseeing. We requested a quiet room and got exactly that. Bathroom nice and roomy. We were however very disappointed with breakfast, I ended up buying my own cereal and milk to have each morning. Cereal choice was limited to... More

I really like this hotel. I'm staying here now for 2 nights. It's welcoming, spotless, great rooms and bathrooms. Not only that, it's amazing value. The locations is not brilliant but, what the heck, Barcelona is not that big so you can get anywhere you want quite fast. If you want a good hotel - don't hesitate to book this... More

The hotel was close to the main square - a healthy but enjoyable walk. The room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was great and we were introduced to great restaurants. We were given a map on arrival and the bus route we needed was marked.

So First off i want to say that the Staff are top notch. They were friendly, helpful and made you feel welcomed. The Hotel Owner is an artist (hence the name of the hotel), so you will find interesting paintings and art\decorative pieces scattered throughout the hotel, which is in no way helpful for your stay, but is a nice... Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
