MYH planned tours and dinner daily, which allowed us to experience Barcelona while meeting friends. Plus, the hostel was clean, organized, and friendly! The neighborhood is extremely safe and close to the city center. Absolutely phenomenal experience!

Myself and a group of friends stayed here for a few nights back in July. The staff were extremely accommodating and organised for us all to be in a 6 bed dorm together. The sheets were clean and the beds were comfy. We all had our own plug sockets and large safes which was extremely handy. The room itself was... More

Clean, spacious, great staff (friendly, helpful), many things to do in awesome common areas, anything you would need (or they will get it), traditional dinners for cheap as well as great pub crawls. Free walking tours with Colin/Ian were amazing, especially the alternative one, definitely recommend.

Stayed here for 6 nights in a private double with a shared bathroom. Great location and hostel is right next to the Gerona metro stop. The hostel offers a meal every night for €5 which is awesome if you need a chilled night in. They also do a pub crawl and a free walking tour. Our bed was made each... More

I stayed for 5 days at the hostel. The room was very nice and clean. Overall noise level was rather low. You could still hear some outside noise or sometimes your neighbours but overall it was not too loud. The location was also very convenient for getting to the different attractions in the city. The staff is genuinely nice and... More

The walking tour that leaves the hostel reception every morning at 10:45am is really brilliant. One of the tour guides was English so was very easy to understand and gave lots of interesting historical information. He was also brilliant at giving us recommendations for how to spend the rest of our holiday. Really enjoyed it. The hostel was very nice... More

The staff was very nice, cosy eating area, great computers, and last but no least great free walking tour Only minus: the first day the room was a little chilly because the heating wasn't adjusted to the cold outside. But most of the time Barcelona is warmer so this isn't a problem.

Really enjoyed staying here - the staff were all really engaging, there was the option of a group dinner and organised night out each evening, and we were centrally located. Double room had the comfiest bed I've stayed in for a while. Colin provided a fantastic walking tour - and I've been on quite a few in the past. He... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
