Arco youth hostel was a really great find. It was right off La Rambla in the centre of barcelona, and easy to get to a metro station to take you around the city. The hostel dorms were fine and the staff were very helpful. One of them went above and beyond the call of duty, helping us with an issue... More

For the location the cost of this place is good. Its confusing to find and the staff didn't communicate in English brilliantly. We had a double en suite room was small, as you would expect for the centre of town. Not much else stands out really.

Our stay here went from bad to worse. Upon arrival the receptionist didn't believe we had paid half our stay and seemed annoyed that there were 9 of us. We were told that there was only one key for the room, yet there were 9 of us?! The rooms were very basic with no duvet/sheet to cover you, (you have... More

Dirty rooms and toilets, smelly, not very polite staff and no refund at all. It is not worth it, and the neighborhood is full of good places to stay, both hostels and cheap hotels. At least they have free wifi to help you booking another place to stay!

From start to finish this hostel is a disgrace. Dirty smelly bathrooms Rooms were tiny and also dirty. One receptionist was aggressive and violent towards us. There was some blood on the sheets when we arrived which they seemed annoyed about changing. We caught the receptionist In our locker to which he had no reason to be in there. Avoid... More

All the staff are so helpful and accommodating. Loved staying there and I would definitely go back!! Could have been cleaner but it wasn't an issue at all, clean towels and sheets were always provided when asked. There was always somebody at reception to help. It was a quaint little hostel that I will never forget!! A++

Wasn't expecting much being a hostel, but was amazed by the facilities and the friendliness of the staff there. The dorms and bathrooms are really clean. Breakfast is provided, but it's fine if you're not up for it, since the location is fantastic. Just a few steps out of the hostel and you're at La Rambla, the busiest tourist streets... More

I couldn't say that this is the best hostel I've been in. Overall cleanliness could be better and breakfast is a joke. However there are some pros, it's in the middle of the city, close to everything. It's also relatively cheap comparing to other places in Barna. And it has safe lockers.

We stayed here in May 2013 for 7 nights, we wanted something cheap and near everything. Me and my friend took the ''mixted rooms'' of 12 beds. The beds are comfortable, the lockers are safe (they rent the safety box at the front desk) and you have to make a deposit for the linens. The staff is very helpful (Thanks... More

Stayed for 3 nights. A group of 8 had booked an 8-bed dorm for 3 nights but due to some mix-up we ended up sharing with 3 others in a 12-bed dorm for the first night. Despite this the reception staff were very friendly and were very helpful when it came to recommending tourist attractions and providing sheets and towels.... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
