We stayed here over Easter and due to late booking it was our only option. It was easy to find the hostel thanks to the very detailed instructions they sent us. However upon arriving we were sat down and made to sign a contract! Very odd as we had never been asked this before at any hostel. We were shown... More

+: the staff was friendly, the location is super with a nice Irish pub and a superb Tapas restaurant next to the hostel. -: But the bathroom was disgusting and we had no warm water, so we could not take a shower during the whole stay...

We are sorry but we have a 250 liter deposit of hot water. So it is practically impossible that we run out of hot water. May be you invented and made up this comment because we did not let you enter the hostel with some prostitutes. You may remember that you got really mad and warned us that you were... More

An old building in the gotic area of Barcelona, with decent rooms and excellent staff ( Jorge ). All the good attractions of Barcelona are just a walk away from this place. Stayed in the the India room.

Situated in a beautiful old building the hostal was good value for money, in a great location (walking distance from everything) and spotlessly clean. The staff were also lovely and friendly. The room is basic with a small tv, double bed, heater and a fan.

We stayed 4 nights in a double room with shared bathroom. The location was fantastic - Barri Gotic, 5 min to waterfront, 5 min to the bottom of La Rambla. The room... well it was dark and didn't look great, but you can't expect much for the price and it had all we needed - a big double bed which... More

This hostal is located in Gothic district, at 5 minutes from Las Ramblas, a major street in Barcelona. The staff is friendly and helpful. About the room, mine was average, for the price paid I couldn't expect much more, you get free wifi, the bed was good, they even provided a heater. The let down was the cleaning, It could be... More

We stayed in a double room for 3nights! While our room was a little run down the entire place is kept clean and tidy! It was handy having two bathrooms. And the WIFI worked perfectly! Location was great close to train station and old town which is full of street markets stores. The owners were great! Gave us directions on... More

Location was very close the Las Ramblas which was convenient and the stair area was cool. Facilities were a bit shodd and there was no a great sense of community and no communal area. I would recommend if you are travelling with friends, however not alone. Staff were very nice though.

I visited this hostel for three nights with my two sisters. The hostel is just five minutes away from La Rambla and a subway station. It's also near a lot of restaurants, (cocktail)bars and clubs. We couldn't have asked for a better location in this beautiful city. The hostel itself is in a very big, authentic building and as the... More

We've a double room, the room was dark and really lout. It wasn't so clean, and stuff ehh just a student nothing more. It was really cold. So I will not recommended to stay there in winter time. But the prise and location was our reward.

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
