We stayed at Umma for 6 nights and really enjoyed it. Room #1 was very comfortable, had a good shower, excellent bed and also a nice street view to Diagonal. The breakfast is pretty good and all the staff was really nice and helpful. We would definitely recommend it for a good stay in Barcelona.

My partner and I visited the Umma last year for the Spanish Grand Prix. The room was a great size and was very clean, and we were able to use the kitchen area to make our sandwiches for the following day. The location was great, not right in the hustle and bustle of Barcelona but only a 10-15 minute walk... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Umma for 4 nights and really enjoyed it. It is quite a central place to stay on the main road. We had a street view which was lovely, a little noisy at times but did not bother us too much. We arrived late at night after the check in time, so were previously emailed... More

Room was a street view, but very noisy. We took turns sleeping in the lobby couch. We asked for another room and the weekend hostess said none were available. I challenge the owners to sleep one weekday and one weekend night in room 2. The weekday hostess was very helpful.

We stayed one night at Umma Barcelona; unfortunately it was a last minute booking and the hotel was booked out for the second night. We were warmly greeted by the owner Diana and another lady who treated each customer with professionalism and friendliness. They both spoke perfect English and were very informative. The hotel is very well located and has... More

We stayed for 3 nights before our cruise. The b and b is very well located - close to las ramblas, tons of restaurants and shopping. It may not be easy to see from the street, but the girls give you great directions to find it...Main door between the Natuzzi furniture doors. We stayed in room 6 it was lovely,... More

We stayed for three nights in room 4. We arrived after 9pm so were given very good instructions as to how to find it and access our room. The owner gives you a series of codes which may seen a bit daunting but was very straightforward. We were presently surprised to find drinks and snacks available and a kitchen we... More

I've been 2 times in Umma Barcelona and it has been a "legendary" experience ;-) - Daiana, the owner, is a great host. She's always there with a smile trying to help you, sharing great places to visit. -Breakfast is included on the price (ham, cheese, bread, orange juice, yogurt, coffee, tea, etc) -The place is lovely: big beds, lot... Stayed here during our trip to Barcelona and it was a lot nicer than we were expecting. It's not so much a B&B as it is a small hotel, a small hotel in a great location! The rooms are nicely decorated and the shower is one of the best I've used. I saw previous complaints about the breakfast but we... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
