This is just the perfect place to stay at if your want to meet tons of new people from all over the world!!! And in addition to this: the hostel is close to everything you need. Beach, Metro, Supermarkets... Had just so much fun there, would DEFINITELY go back and recommend it to everyone looking for a cheap and fun... More

Great, clean, funky hostel. Close to the beach and near metro and bus stops for Barcelona sightseeing. Breakfast is available if you are up in time. Staff we friendly and organised pub crawls. They gave good recommendations on where to eat. The room keys also give you access to a locker - great for keeping your possesions safe. We found... More

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! the nicest staff, clean rooms, fun hostel events, modern style, huge common room, large and fully equipped kitchen, ideal location next to beach and metro, dirt cheap for quality accommodation. Met so many amazing people here too! no curfew, no rules. Balconies!! clean showers which are hot and powerful. Overall perfect stay!

I stayed here not long back whilst in Barcelona on a long weekend. I had the unfortunate luck of having my luggage misplaced at the airport. If it wasn't for the staff at the hostel, inparticually Leo, and the man working on my arrival I would of been a lot more distressed about the situation. Friendly and helpful in every... More

The facilities provided by the hostel are very good comparing to other hostels. The price is cheap. Its very close to the beach and metro. The showers are clean. They also have a terrace where you can chill. They organize pub crawling every night. However, they close the terrace at 10 pm which is non sense. The tv room closes... More

Amistat was a really great hostel. We met a lot of really nice people there who were down to party whenever. The hostel facilities (kitchen, bathroom, showers, common areas, etc.) were incredibly clean and well kept. The receptionists spoke great english and helped us out a lot! Very close to the beautiful beach (both regular beaches and clothing optional!) It... More

Yes the rooms are small and the bathrooms basic but this place is the best value for money you will find anywhere in Barcelona. From the second you arrive you are met by charming staff (with perfect English). This student orientated hostel runs free activities both in the morning and the evening. A bonus for anyone wanting to enjoy the... More

We loved the beach access and a fun atmosphere. Met a lot of fellow travelers and everything was clean. Staff very helpful. You do need to take the metro to the city center, but the stop is only a 7 minute walk.

Just stayed here and would never recommend anyone to do the same. Firstly the place is dirty. The showers are covered in mould. The toilets always smell like poo. The floors are always sticky and the kitchen is messy with hardly any kitchen utensils I think there is 2 bowls for a hostel with over 50 people. Kids!!! So many... More

Unfortunately my stay at Amistat wasn´t very pleasant. I found the staff to be quiet unhelpful and unfriendly. I enjoyed the location, nice and close to the beach and breakfast was substantial. Wouldn´t stay again though.

Staying in Poblenou

Neighborhood Profile
Poblenou
The futuristic Agbar Tower stands out from Barcelona's skyline in Poblenou. It is no coincidence then that this area of town is the newly crowned technological park of the city, its own mini Silicon Valley containing a tech incubator (Barcelona Activa) as well as a host of local and international high tech companies. To accommodate the onrush of new residents and workers, the area of Poblenou has seen a surge of activity in new high-rise residential buildings and two top-notch shopping centers catering to everyone's need. The ambiance of this area is calmer than the city center and the beautifully relaxing Bogatell Beach, popular with locals, is just a handful of blocks away.
