Excellent location just metres from La Rambla, and also close to La Boqueria (foodmarket) which I recommend for the ultimate food-experience! I don't know his name, but I think he's the manager, was very nice and helpful with recommendations, not to mention the hotel feels very safe. Our room was simple, but ok standard, so definitely worth the money. (You... More

It's really well situated. At a few minutes from El gotic, Catedral de Barcelona, The harbor, Plaza da Catalunya ...You have a subway station really near. The best place to stay. Not expensive, rooms aren't big but they are cosy and clean every day. If you plan to visit Barcelona I recommend this hotel. The receptionists are very pleasant and... More

We stopped in this hotel for 3 nights and when we arrived the reception staff was helpful upon our arrival and checked in with no problems. Our room was on the third floor and outside it looks all modern and the inside of it too. The room isn't big but it suited us because it was just a place for... More

I booked this hotel for 1 night because almost everything in the barcelona area was booked because of a football match. I didn't have the highest expectations, but after coming home from watching the football to have a shower there was no hot water. I got dressed from my attempted shower and went to reception and let them know, only... More

I stayed here with my wife for a weekend break, three nights, over the May bank holiday and enjoyed it. The Hotel is just off the main centre of the Rambles area. It is a small hotel and our room was compact but functional and the widow opened onto a small courtyard also we didn't hear much noise even being... More

The reception was very poor and slow service even thought...they should try harder to make it better,it could be ok with some passion and dedication from the hotel.also should clean abit better. Rooms - quite small but typical of city centre hotels, clean and basic but the shower temperature can be a little tempremental. Location - fantastic only 50 yards from La Ramblas by the Opera house. Gripes - shower temperature, computer for public use to print boarding passes is slow and keyboard lettering is worn off, this is essential in any... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
