We only stayed at this hotel because family happen to be staying here at the same time. It is very clean and in a good location but that is all it has going for it. The breakfast and hotel bar were a bit expensive and u inviting, the staff are very pleasant. In our opinion there are better hotels better... More

Just returned from another fantastic stay in Barcelona. So pleased with this hotel. Last time we stayed in a lovely 5 star hotel on las ramblas but we actually preferred the location of this hotel and feel it was just as good. All staff were extremely helpful nothing seemed too much trouble for them. We will definitely stay here again... More

We have just returned from a fantastic trip to Barcelona, made even better by this gem of a hotel in the heart of the city's Gothic quarter! My partner and I booked this hotel as we were travelling to watch the Spanish F1 Grand Prix and despite some mixed reviews we thought we were getting a good deal and as... More

Before booking our hotel, we asked a number of friends and colleagues for their recommendations. However, after some consideration and based upon the excellent reviews we read here, we decided the Musik ticked our boxes and we would prefer to spend less on our hotel to have more spending money for sightseeing and enjoying the food and drink! We had... More

The location of the hotel is good, really good placement. The breakfast is average. the wifi signal is quite poor, giving me a disappoinment regarding this aspect despite reading the comments that said the wifi is good. Another thing that has been bothering me is the smell. When you enter the lobby is nice and fresh smell, but when you... More

Lovely small hotel in great location. Staff was extremely interested in helping us with every detail of our stay in Barcelona. This hotel is right in the midst of the Gothic Neighborhood providing you with instant access to the narrow alleys and shops that the area is famous for. If you happen to have a hire car, you would def... More

We went for a prolonged weekend to Barcelona and stayed at Musik Boutique and we loved it. The breakfast area is decent but very good quality. The rooms are very comfy, quiet and the bed... superb. Unfortunately I fell sick on the 3rd day (flew) but even then the staff was very nice, helped us getting a private doctor, everything... More

We would definetly return only to this cute hotel! In the coolest location and the most comfortable bed ever! It is super clean, beautifully decorated and the staff was extremely gentle. The neighborhood is a thrill and you have trillions of choices to eat!

This hotel is wonderful from the moment you check-in until you depart. The reception staff are extremely professional, the rooms have a wonderful atmosphere in addition to being very clean and comfortable and the linens were great. Maybe the best part is that this is a very quiet hotel. Our room faced the street but with the double glazing, you... More

Was a bit apprehensive about booking this hotel as it was only 3 stars and seemed quite cheap in comparison to other hotels I looked up in Barcelona but I needn't have worried.. This hotel was perfect for our short stay in Barcelona. The hotel is down a narrow side street but we found it ok- email reception before you... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
