Myself and a few other girls stayed here for 5 nights in October, we had such an amazing time in Barcelona. The hostel is very comfortable and homely, the beds were great! It's also a very safe hostel, nothing was stolen, nor did we worry about thief's. We had a girl Harriot from Australia who was working in the hostel... More

The Hostel was well located and easy to find . We had a private room with a small veranda overlooking the street . The caretakers were friendly and helpful . The room was quiet . The bathroom and kitchen area were basic but had everything we required .

A really nice, laid back hostel. Myself and 4 other friends traveled to Barcelona for the festival and stayed in Art City BCN, and had a great experience. The service and location were phenomenal. The bathrooms weren't the cleanest, but everything worked perfectly and was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

This was the last stop on our trip to Europe. We specifically booked a private 3-person room in advance (at least a month in advance, if not more) and were really looking forward to it. We booked this room because we were at a music festival sleeping on the floor of a tent for a week prior in Budapest. We... More

At Art City the staff makes you feel like your part of a larger family. As a solo traveler, I was a bit concerned that it would be cumbersome to meet new people because people usually align with those they travel with or are comfortable with. At Art City however, making friends was effortless. Right away I was warmly welcomed... More

The Art City Hostel is located in an upscale, clean and safe area in the heart of Barcelona. It is very well communicated by the Metro lines 3 and 5. Main sights are in walking distance, just a stone´s throw away from La Pedrera, Casa Batllo, Passeig de Gràcia or Plaça Catalunya. It´s even a nice walk just down the... More

Artcity hostel is a perfect place to stay while in Barcelona. It is centrally located to everything: public transit, grocery, shopping, bars, restaurants and sites are only 5-10 minutes walk. The hostel is comfortable and clean. Vincenzo and Tito are extremely friendly and helpful. I was very jet lagged and couldn't get my mind straight. They were patient with me,... More

Staying in La Rambla

Neighborhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-meter boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetizing selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
