Well run, lively and spacious hostel in a great location. The food is great, the people are awesome, friendly, and always helpful. It's a big hostel but the atmosphere each night makes it seem smaller.

I had an awesome time at the Hipstel - the staff are friendly and always helpful at the main desk, the dinners were suprisingly good each night, and best of all the rooms were well-maintained with lots of space and regular cleaning. The hostel has a lot of bedrooms as well - it´s a big hostel. It´s location is priceless,... More

I have traveled to Hostels before, and there is always 2 Types: the Noisy(tourist trashy party type) or the quiet one you just use ir to sleep. And definetly this is not a hostel in which you will rest at all, they are always parties in the main hall and the noise is always present at the rooms next door,... More

I'm not really an hostel fan, and I didn't like this too. We were in 4 in a room without a single socket to charge our phones, without any window and my bed sheets were dirty (with a clear footprint on them). The price is the only positive thing along with the location.

The location is awesome, the employees are very friendly. The wifi is free but its range is very bad. Its a clean place to stay at, but the shower when i was there had some flooding problems. I would recomend to some friends and definetily would stay again for a couple days, not a long trip like the one I... More

I enjoyed the decorations and most of the facilities were new. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location is great. The wifi mostly works, however I do think it is a bit manipulative to force people to 'check in at the Hipstel' on Facebook and advertise the hostel in order to use the internet services we were promised... Very funny, with a great and welcoming staff Very cool vintage furniture only two bathrooms, but in good conditions In the room, i think that the person who had stayed in the lower bed, smashed their head with the higher bed, so i think that it would be better if the distance between both beds were longer.

Rooms are nice. Wifi was not great... But not the worst either. Comida for 5€ each night as a nice touch... And free breakfast? Again, the location was really good to be able to do both touristy stuff, and then foodie and beach stuff. Overall, would stay again if I was back in Barcelona!

I won't lie, the first day of my stay I was very unimpressed. No toilet paper or soap in the bathrooms, slow front desk service, slow internet connection, and I booked a girls' dorm where they put two boys. The next day I spoke to the managers and they were SUPER helpful. They moved the boys out of the girls'... More

This hostel is dirty, gross, and the staff is not helpful. It is rather expensive for such a dump. I wish I had stayed somewhere else. I would not recommend the Hipstel, and will never come back. The only reason this hostel has any good reviews is because you get free alcohol if you write a good review. Don't waste... More
