Positives - Free breakfast, free coffee machine, rooms are large and airy, close to the metro and train station, lots of activities run by the hostel, close to the main shopping street and a gaudi attraction. Negatives - bunk beds are close together (no room to sit up properly on the bottom bunk), no lockers big enough to put your... More

The Hipstel is anything but hip! The Hipstel was terrible! Service was extremely poor. It seemed that the staff were travelers who decided to stay in Barcelona. The only helpful staff member was Nadia. The restrooms on the first floor are absolutely disgusting! The floors flood when someone showers and it always had a funky smell in there. My girlfriend... The location is great, a very simple breakfast is included and there is a coffee machine that you can use at any time. The staff are not very friendly or knowledgeable about the sites in Barcelona, but they are generally able to tell you how to get around. It is dirty, and quite a party hostel so if you want... More

I was only there for 2 nights and stayed in a private room but found the hostel super trendy, funky and cool. There was always cool music playing in the common areas and the staff were all very friendly and having fun. Our beds were very comfy considering its a hostel - I had worse in some hotels through Europe!... More

The location was amazing, but that was about it. The service staff were poor, the cleanliness was very poor- especially having to pay $40euro a night they could've at least mopped or you know had soap and toilet paper in the bathrooms... I got lucky and met some great ladies in my dorm and I am sure all the people... More

Well run, lively and spacious hostel in a great location. The food is great, the people are awesome, friendly, and always helpful. It's a big hostel but the atmosphere each night makes it seem smaller.

I had an awesome time at the Hipstel - the staff are friendly and always helpful at the main desk, the dinners were suprisingly good each night, and best of all the rooms were well-maintained with lots of space and regular cleaning. The hostel has a lot of bedrooms as well - it´s a big hostel. It´s location is priceless,... More

I have traveled to Hostels before, and there is always 2 Types: the Noisy(tourist trashy party type) or the quiet one you just use ir to sleep. And definetly this is not a hostel in which you will rest at all, they are always parties in the main hall and the noise is always present at the rooms next door,... More

I'm not really an hostel fan, and I didn't like this too. We were in 4 in a room without a single socket to charge our phones, without any window and my bed sheets were dirty (with a clear footprint on them). The price is the only positive thing along with the location.

The location is awesome, the employees are very friendly. The wifi is free but its range is very bad. Its a clean place to stay at, but the shower when i was there had some flooding problems. I would recomend to some friends and definetily would stay again for a couple days, not a long trip like the one I... More
