It was my first time traveling alone and i was nervous, but staying in this hostel was by far one of the best decisions i have ever made. with WiFi and computers i could easily chat to family and friends at night, when I didn't want to go out I could watch some of the many movies there is for... A friend and i was backpacking around Europe for 2 months and had stayed at numerous backpacking hostels and i have got to say, Sant Jordi Gracia was by far, the best place we have stayed at. From our initial plan on staying there for 3 nights, i extended mine to 5 nights and my friend, a whole week! The... More

Sant Jordi was a great hostel, easily in my top 3 of all time. This place has such an amazing vibe and it's all thanks to the staff. They're all pretty fun people who make the place feel like home, but OLI was in a leauge of his own. I was the first guest he ever checked in here, and... More

Where do I start?! This place had an incredible vibe. You know it's an awesome place when you'd rather stay in with everyone versus going out to party at a club. They've created a place that immediately helps a solo backpacker make friend. HUGE SHOUT OUT TO OLIVER. The man had is first day when arrived and he felt like... More

Not only were the beds and showers imaculate, the staff knew everything about Barcelona imaginable. Mathieu, Bruna, Rico, Oliver (who is actually the best) and the whole gang know everything about the city. They will give you directions, take you out, and most importantly- make certain that you´re fed. Great time all around.

This place really thought about everything you are looking for as a traveler - a nice, clean, friendly place, with great atmosphere, nice kitchen, a private locker, light next to each bed and and outlet, and everything for an amazing price! All the staff are great. Don't miss their special dinners and the free pub crawl they have. This place... More

ALL of the Sant Jordi hostels in Barcelona, are awesome. Or at least, that's what I heard from any of the travellers I met there, who'd stayed in some of the other Sant Jordi locations in the city. This one though, was not only the by far the best hostel I'd ever seen or been to, it was also, the... More

The title is in reference to the friends I made during my stay here, both travelers and staff for my stay they became like family, sharing epic adventures during the day, colaboration dinners in the evening and usually partying at the hostel or a local bar. Gracia did everything right, friendly and helpful staff, I felt like they enjoyed their... More

Friendly, warm, helpful staff with plenty of local knowledge to share. Great kitchen, with a dining room space which was great for socialising. I met so many wonderful people here. Every night there was a cheap, delicious meal (or all you can drink sangria) you could put your name down for. The hostel organised pub crawls, which were a lot... More

This was probably the most social hostel I have stayed at. There was a group going out every night either on a pub crawl or to the music festival that was going on. Easy to meet people in the common area. The worst thing was the location, I disliked the surrounding area and there are Sant Jordi locations that are... More

Staying in Gracia

Neighborhood Profile
Gracia
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the center, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theater that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
