I spent a few days in Barcelona as part of a solo Eurotrip and I really enjoyed the Sant Jordi hostel in Gracia. They organize a group pub crawl every night and it's a great way to have a great time and also meet people from all over the world. Overall, this hostel was a very good place to stay.

The hostel rooms were super clean as were the communal areas from what we saw. However, there didn't appear to be any air conditioning and was really needed in an 8 bed full dorm. Had an incredibly nosiey snorer in our room but not the hostels fault! Only other issue was that there is no control of the main lights... More

This was one of the cleanest hostels I have ever been to. It is in an area inhabited almost completely by locals. The staff were all fantastic, Linda, Ron and Paulo were a great set of characters that helped make this hostel one of the best. There is a calm social scene within the hostel, with no shortage of pub... More

The hostel is really comfortable, the staff is friendly and helpful and the facilities were always clean. The locker with the card is also really useful. It is not close to main attractions but it is near by 2 metro stations making it easy go anywhere in the city and around the hostel there are some good restaurants

In general I would say I love this hostel! The location is simply perfect because the hostels area are all kind of restaurants and bars. Unfortunately the bigger clubs are quite far away from the hostel itself. The hostel was clean, well organized and had a very nice interior. Simply just an awesome place to stay at!

Loved the staff, the location, the room were seriously the best I've seen in an hostel. The lockers were safe, free and easy to use. There were activities, but if you don't feel like participating the rooms are real quiet you don't hear a sound. PLEASE give it a try!

A friend and i was backpacking around Europe for 2 months and had stayed at numerous backpacking hostels and i have got to say, Sant Jordi Gracia was by far, the best place we have stayed at. From our initial plan on staying there for 3 nights, i extended mine to 5 nights and my friend, a whole week! The... More

Sant Jordi was a great hostel, easily in my top 3 of all time. This place has such an amazing vibe and it's all thanks to the staff. They're all pretty fun people who make the place feel like home, but OLI was in a leauge of his own. I was the first guest he ever checked in here, and... More

Staying in Gracia

Neighborhood Profile
Gracia
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the center, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theater that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
