My husband and I got a private room which was very fairly priced and it was much more than we expected. It had a private balcony which we left open overnight as we slept (so obviously the place felt very safe!). We woke up to a gorgeous sunrise and birds singing SERIOUSLY! Although birds singing and gorgeous sunrise isn't part... More

I spent my first few nights in Barcelona at the Arc de Triomf Hostel, and the flawless experience I had at this hostel, is no doubt part of the reason why Barcelona is one of my favorite cities. The view is spectacular, the staff are extremely helpful, the rooftop lounge is bliss and the location is pretty decent too. (right... More

This hostel is fantastic value for money! I had a great time staying here. Facilities are all brand new and clean, the beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is fully stocked and comes with a free breakfast, the staff working there were always on hand if you needed anything day or night. They have a beautiful roof terrace - just... More

This place has it all: super clean, good location (close to metro stop), free breakfast, fair price, nice rooftop, great showers and above all a very friendly and helpful staff. I guess asking for free tapas would be pushing it ;-))

You read correctly. Francesco, who's been looking after us here, is an absolute champion. The rooms are clean, and you wake to an open window of sun, morning hustle, and bakery smells. Central location to everything, and the most important - their rooftop courtyard! we had some great nights there; so good we stayed in Barcelona longer than we should... More

My daughter and I stayed here in May, and the hostel had only been open a week. We were amazed at how beautifully decorated and clean the hostel was..how central its location and how adorable the proprietor, Fran was. Nothing was too much trouble. We were both impressed with all the facilities, and the little attention to details like the... More

I second everything the previous poster said. It is so easy to explore the city from this hostel with metro and bus stops right at the nearest intersections. The Born neighborhood (boutiques, cafes, amazing alleys) is across the street. Bus will take you from the arc to the beach or up to Montjuic or Tobidablo. Francesc, the owner, is absolutely... More

Position - couldn´t be better. Less then one-minute walk from Arc de Triumf metro stop. Clean, full of light and sun. The building itself is ancient (no elevator) very tipical for Barcelona, with small beautifull balconies. It has several rooms, with very high ceelings, tipical mosaic floors. It´s very clean, new showers (sep. for girls and boys). Has kitchen (place... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
