First class location, yeah the rooms are a little small but we had 3 single beds in our room (109) two adults and an excited 7 year old boy. No hassle at all. Slight noise issue from the back street below, but let's not forget this is in the heart of La Ramblas, what do you expect. Beds made and... More

First impressions of the hostel were not great, hard to find (we just happened to look up and see the rather small sign 4 floors up) and a little metal door on las ramblas next to the erotic museum. The hostel starts 4 floors up and so you need to walk up a very thin windy stair case to get... More

We loved the staff and friendliness of this hotel, clean with a great location, was very reluctant when booking because of the hostal in the name, however we had a very clean spacious room overlooking the ramblas.centrally located across from the st joseph market, walking distance to the monument and the port and walking distance from the square. Great place, clean and wonderful... More

A great find! This hostel is very clean, modern and well equipped for a short break in the city. It is located in the middle of La Rambla and perfect for seeing the sights, shopping and just roaming about. It is located right next to the Liceu Metro station and almost opposite the famous market. The rooms are small but... More

Clean, modern, aircon! Stayed one night for a city break. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Room lovely. Shower had colour changing likes that were novel but fun. Some complain about noise levels. Yes there was noise outside but you are staying right on the Rambles which is the busiest street in the city. Great location. Recommended highly.

6 of us stayed in 2 rooms at this boutique hotel and we had a fantastic experience. the staff were accommodation and attentive. they assisted us with our heavy luggage (there is a luggage elevator!). the rooms are clean, spacious and modern. despite its very very central location in the heart of la ramblas and across from the boqueria market,... The room was extremely small even when we paid for 3 beds. We had no view so it was a little claustrophobic. The place, however was clean and the employees were helpful. The last day they brought a new bed, but the mattress was so hard I was unable to sleep. Nonetheless, the location was perfect! It is in front... More

This hostal is centrally located, at the ramblas and few steps from the subway station. Mercado de la Boqueria is right accross the street. It is located right in the middle of the action!! Great place to stay if you want to walk around the old city. Good cost benefit - rooms are quiet and very clean. Bathroom is small.... More

Can't really add much that others haven't already pointed out. A few things, though: - Very comfortable beds - Very clean - Excellent, central location. Someone mentioned airport shuttle stops close by. We took the train from the airport, getting off at the Passeig de Gracia (4th stop). From there we walked 15 minutes to the hostal (seems 10% of... Stayed here for 2 nights on the 5th of may, not one thing i could fault. We were in a Double room to the back of the building, it had a small balcony with sliding door giving us loads of fresh air and a lovely bright room. Beds are a dream, SO comfortable. Fresh white bed lining changed daily, as... More

Staying in La Rambla

Neighborhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-meter boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetizing selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
