This Hotel was the most affordable 3 stars Hotel I could find in Barcelona. The staff was nice and the room was clean and spacious. The decoration was a little outdated. We had free access to a parking spot in their garage, which was very convenient, saving a lot of time and money. The location is good. Very calm area.... More

Just come back from a 3 night stay at the HCC Open hotel. Found it to be a nice base for our stay. Approx 20 - 40 euros for a taxi to and from the airport, depending how big a crook the taxi driver is! A short 15 min walk to Las Ramblas or 10 euro taxi to either Camp... More

We stayed here as part of a groupon deal including an FC Barcelona match ticket and we were both pleasantly surprised. The room itself was very nice, and most importantly clean and the bathroom was modern with a very good shower. We always spend the minimum possible time in hotel rooms as we are always out exploring but this hotel... More

Wasn't expecting much as this hotel was part of a Groupon package and therefore very cheap. It exceeded my expectations however, very clean, modern and good breakfast choice. Literally 2 mins from Rocafort metro station so very easy to get around Barcelona!

Stayed here for four nights in January, it was a bit of a walk to las ramblas - about 15 min, but a pleasant one, found a few shortcuts after the first night! The room was fine, and very clean, the reception staff were extremely helpful when approached for directions etc. Buffett breakfast was fine, plenty choice of cereals, cooked... More

Hotel is old, or at least looks past it's prime. It is clean but outdated and shows signs of wear and tear. Receptionist was very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was so so, but what can you expect for 81€ per night, B'fast included. WiFi was very good! Bed was OK but pillow was terrible. I would consider this a low... More

The staff here was so caring and provided exceptional service. Any hotel staff can smile and wish you good day but the HCC Open staff treated us with care and compassion. My friend had a medical problem the second day of our 7 day visit. Reception arranged for an ambulance and acted as our intermediaries in conveying information from the... More

We stayed at the Open for three nights on our recent trip. The hotel is between Rocafort and Urgell Metro stations, its a 10 minute walk to Placa Espana and about 15 minutes the other way to Placa Catalunya and 20 minutes to Passage De Gracia. We had a comfortable room on the 4th floor overlooking the front of the... More

Very close to Plaza España and Gran Via. The breakfast is nice and the rooms are clean. No bidet but you can use the shower hose if you are a Muslim client. The thing that was annoying to me was that the Diputacion street, where the hotel is, is full of gay bars.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
